“Is art a way to resist death, an attempt to endure through time?”
After the loss of my mother, I felt the need to confront the notion of ancestry. This is how I found the guiding thread of this photographic body of work.
During a conference in Madrid, the writer Paul Auster said:
“The way we approach the loss of our loved ones defines who we are.”

Après la disparition de ma mère, j’ai ressenti le besoin de me confronter à la notion d’ancêtres. C’est ainsi que j’ai trouvé le fil conducteur de cet ensemble photographique.
Lors d’une conférence à Madrid, l’écrivain Paul Auster a déclaré :
« La façon d’aborder la perte de nos proches détermine qui nous sommes. »
