My art is about expression. Expression is the reflection of my emotions as a form of communication. Mandala means “circle” in Sanskrit, reflecting the cosmos and spiritual wholeness. As my journey o
f self-discovery unfolds so does my spirituality. To me, the mandala represents life itself—a fine balance of opposites, like light and darkness, day and night, plus and minus, that together drive evolution. As a pyrography mandala artist, I use the ancient symbolism of mandalas to explore life’s duality. Each mandala I create begins with a single point, just like our life starts with a cell. Then it grows outward in circles like the years of our life. The rapid, small circles at the center reflect the energy of beginnings, while the larger, slower belts mirror the deepening pace of life as it matures. Beyonds the edges of my canvas, life’s vibration ripples infinitely into space, magnifying the intention to create. Through pyrography—where fire embodies both creation and destruction—I see the story of balance and eternal change. Moreover, art is about discovering what needs to be seen and what needs to be said. They are my source of connection between spirit, myself, and everything that is taking part in the process. Through my art I invite you to embrace life’s contrasts and connect with the infinite energy of yourself. Lu Adams is the Urals born artist who now lives and creates in Pau, South West of France. She comes from a very artistic family passionate about music, singing, fine arts and dance. He dad was a jewlry maker, her mom sang in a band, her aunt is a classical dance teacher, all of her grandparents played musical instruments and sang traditional folk songs. She’s got art in her blood as they say. This is Lu’s first professional art project that she dreamed to develop since she was a teenager. At last her dream to become and inspirational artist has become true. The intention of her wood burned mandalas is to invite the viewer to pause for a moment, reflect, forget about the strife of life, and get carried away by the mystical ripples of the mandala to the ever expanding universe. She consideres her mandalas not only the pretty pieces on the wall made with 0.8 mm precision red hot metal tip, but the tools for meditation, the portal to the world of dreams. Lu searches the right balance between black and white and shapes to create an optical illusion which make her mandalas live. Each person perceives the action of the mandala differently. You are invited to not just see, but experience her mandalas in real life to understand how great they are, how they move or how they move you! Each mandala is an original, unrepeatable masterpiece that is inspired by nature, dance and music. When you look at it your mind gets steady and in no time you enter the profound stillness. To me, each mandala is a practice ground for the qualities I need to grow through the slow, steady process of burning—focus, intention, presence. Through them, I continue to find the path to my dreams, my strength, my wisdom, and the essence of who I am.
