We are back with a SECOND session studying Gustav Klimt that will take place THIS Saturday!
This upcoming class is the second installation in a series of Master Classes that will be taught bi-weekly and is open to artist’s that are established or those that are looking to start their creative journey.
The first course is inspired by Gustav Klimt’s the Kiss series and was be taught by International Artist, Natalie Dohman. This upcoming class is an extension class that will delve deeper into using gold leaf, color and symbolism to make a piece inspired by Gustav Klimt. You will be taught how to replicate the artwork “The Kiss” or you will be able to come up with an original piece that follows Klimt’s techniques and styles.
The class will be taught virtually from Natalie’s home studio in Paris, France and will be broadcasted virtually. Once you sign up for the class an e-link will be sent via email.
If you missed the FIRST class, you can watch a recording of the class to get caught up and then attend the second one where you can continue to work alongside others in the second series and watch.
This class is open to all experience levels and ages. You DO NOT need any prior experience or artistic skills. This is perfect for the interested hobbyist that would like to expand their visual language.
The supplies for this class needed include:
Acrylic Paint (white, black, burnt umber or any brown, lemon yellow/yellow ocher, red, green, blue – any variations of the colors will work)
Flat brushes size 0-4/ round brushes of the same size
Water
Canvas (any size will do but the class will be taught on 16×20 in. For this class, a larger canvas is recommended.)
Paper towels/towels
GOLD LEAF! (This is one of the most important materials that will be needed for this class. Gold leaf can be finnicky to work with but Natalie will explain in detail how to apply this material and how to incorporate it into your work.)
