Dans la culture japonaise, le daruma est une figurine en papier mâché représentant un moine bouddhiste.
Symbole de vœux, chance et prospérité, il est censé éloigner les mauvais esprits…
Et je trouve ça assez fascinant (et un peu drôle 👀) qu’une poupée presque effrayante soit justement là pour nous porter bonheur ✨

Voici la troisième et dernière illustration pour ONCE UPON AN ILLUSTRATOR 2024, inspirée par le monde magique de Beatrix Potter ! 🐰🌸
Enfant, j'avais plusieurs de ses œuvres, et même aujourd'hui, en regardant ces illustrations, je suis apaisée par cet univers magique.
Beatrix Potter était une naturaliste et auteure-illustratrice anglaise du début du 19ème siècle, surtout connue pour ses livres pour enfants. Elle a créé un univers animalier adorable, avec "Pierre Lapin" comme premier héros.
Plusieurs de ses œuvres ont été adaptées en dessins animés, et on découvre sa vie dans le film "Miss Potter", réalisé par Chris Noonan et sorti en 2006. 🎬✨

Several of her works have been turned into animations, and her life story was brought to the screen in the movie "Miss Potter," directed by Chris Noonan and released in 2006. 🎬✨
