7L Correspondances, Salon de Musique
Dans l’atelier sonore de Camille Bloomfield

At the invitation of musicologist and producer Anne Montaron Anne Montaron , poet and translator Camille Bloomfield Camille Bloomfield met with five female musicians who are familiar with musical theatre. In an open-ended exploration, they wove words and sounds together, drawing inspiration from books in the library and records from the 7L’s vinyl collection. Anne Montaron brought this new kind of ‘Salon de musique’ to life as a playground and a workshop for experimentation, the various stages of which were captured in two forms, two impressions: a notebook and a vinyl record. It was a powerful and truly creative moment that took shape at the heart of 7L, notably using book titles to write poetry, and selected tracks from seven vinyl records to create original musical patches. A deeply immersive and total encounter.

Moderator: Anne Montaron
Poetry: Camille Bloomfield
Viola and vocals: Maëlle Desbrosses Maelle Desbrosses
Harp and vocals: Hélène Breschand Helene Breschand
Double bass and vocals: Charlotte Testu
Saxophone and vocals: Sakina Abdou Sakina
