Meyer Zafra is born from a reflection on gaze and perception, inherited from kinetic art and geometric abstraction. For over twenty-five years, the gallery has developed an approach attentive to forms that question movement, space, and our way of seeing. This research guides all of the selections presented, through works chosen for their visual strength, formal coherence, and the sensory experience they offer.

Now, Art, Design, and Objects coexist within the same universe. Not by juxtaposition, but by resonance. Each work, each piece of furniture, each object is selected for its formal quality, its presence, and the singularity of its language. Together, they create an environment where disciplines respond to each other and enrich our way of inhabiting space.

The imaginary interior of a collector, where contemporary design, artworks, and everyday objects coexist. Each piece is chosen not as an isolated object, but as an element in a larger dialogue between form, material, and atmosphere.

Through subtle transitions of colour and almost imperceptible gradients, .krempin creates compositions that seem to dissolve the boundary between the artwork and the surrounding space. Rather than depicting light, he invites us to experience it.

This quiet blue composition unfolds gradually, revealing a remarkable sense of depth and atmosphere. Its restrained presence transforms with every change in natural light, encouraging a slower, more attentive way of looking.

At Meyer Zafra, works by Marcel Krempin are presented within a curated interior, where art, collectible design and objects exist in dialogue, demonstrating how contemporary artworks can shape the atmosphere of a living space.

For this inaugural exhibition, the creations of designer and interior architect Emma Donnersberg enter into a dialogue with the works of Carlos Cruz-Diez and Manuel Mérida, two historical figures represented by the gallery for many years, while opening up new perspectives through the works of Marcel Krempin, Roberto Platé and Benjamin Rosemberg.

Inspired by the rhythms of nature and organic forms, Emma Donnersberg’s creations shape the landscape of this universe. They resonate with Manuel Mérida’s exploration of real movement, Carlos Cruz-Diez’s chromatic phenomena, Marcel Krempin’s contemplative spaces, Roberto Platé’s silent architectures, and Benjamin Rosemberg’s atmospheric photographs.

Argentine artist Roberto Platé (b. 1940) has developed a singular practice spanning painting, installation, and scenography for more than five decades. After studying in Munich and joining the avant-garde movement surrounding Buenos Aires’ Instituto Di Tella, he settled in Paris, where he continues to live and work. His work has been exhibited in major institutions, including the Museum of Modern Art and the National Museum of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires, and is held in prestigious public collections such as the CNAP. Balancing architecture, illusion, and painterly gesture, Platé’s work quietly explores the relationship between space, memory, and perception.

Created around 1990, Sans Titre reflects this sensitive approach. Through luminous blues, warm tones, and layered vertical forms, the painting unfolds as a contemplative landscape where color and light become spaces to inhabit.
