After following the latest news about digital art and NFTs, I really felt like talking about this shift in the artistic mindsets, which has no precedent in the Art History. 😲🤑

It is the first time in the history of art when the art market is more important than the art itself. If the 19th century was all about “Art for art”, the 20th about “Art as a weapon against totalitarian politics”, the 21st century is all about “Art for art market”.

Paris 2019 - In the exact same place, one year later, posters of political propaganda replace completely Banky’s work of art « Together for the Frexit ». Pure coincidence ? Political statements ? ?
