Cygnet Theatre Paris is looking to cast actors in all roles for its 2022 summer production of Hamlet Unbound.

Cygnet Theatre Paris, which specialises in performing classic Shakespeare plays in the heart of Paris, is preparing its summer 2022 season and is on the hunt for creatives of all disciplines - dramaturgs/writers/ set designers/ directors/musicians/dancers/visual artists etc. to help in the creation of its next production.

Cygnet Theatre was founded in Paris by an international group of theatre artists looking to create, develop, and perform plays in the classical repertoire. The company is run by a board of administration, and all members of the team serve a creative function vital to Cygnet Theatre’s ability to thrive.

Following the success of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the decision was made to form a company to produce high-quality theatre in the heart of Paris. During the Summer Seasons, Cygnet performs in the beautiful Jardin des Arènes de Montmartre.

The production of Romeo & Juliet welcomed an incredible régisseur lumière (lighting technician) to the team. ⚡️

Adrián Noguera Incardona ( ) bought skill, talent, charm and a couple LED lights to the show. We are so thankful to Adrián for helping the production to shine bright 🌟

We are forever grateful to the director, Taylor Scott and her assistant director Lindsey Hawley, for their work on Romeo & Juliet. 👏🙏

This production was the largest show Cygnet has ever put on and so Taylor was excited to bring on an assistant to share the love of scheduling rehearsals, curating beautiful administrative emails and running around Paris on various theatrical errands. 🏃🏼‍♀️

✨ " I spent much time deliberating over how to cast this piece, since the vision from the beginning was one of vibrant physicality and total collaboration. How else can one make magic come alive, if not by the beauty of a tight-knit, cohesive group of artists such as these? And as the ten of us began our journey of discovery, slowly over Zoom, and the analysis of the text, I realized just how fully we would be able to blossom into a show filled with music, creativity, drama, comedy, and relevancy. " ✨
