🎨 An eBay purchase. A vintage Hermès agenda. And inside: Dora Maar's personal address book from 1951 — filled with the names of Cocteau, Aragon, Breton, Lacan, Éluard and more. This find became the foundation of journalist Brigitte Benkemoun's acclaimed book I Am Dora Maar's Address Book.

Inspired by Maar's legacy as a photographer, painter, and central figure of the avant-garde, her selection celebrates a living heritage — works that engage with the ideas of the past while remaining resolutely contemporary.

💻 ST0 (2025) by Franck Vidal — a digital artwork exploring technology, perception, and visual experimentation. The avant-garde impulse that defined Maar's generation, reinterpreted for the twenty-first century.

Yaacov Agam, the father of kinetic art, has died at 98. 🎨
He spent nearly a century refusing to stand still. His belief? A work of art should never show the same face twice. Take a step to the side, turn your head… and everything changes.
From the "Fire and Water" fountain in Tel Aviv to the Agam Salon designed for the Élysée Palace, he placed movement and the viewer's gaze at the very heart of his art.

🌸 À travers des approches artistiques diverses, l'exposition explore la manière dont les mémoires, les traditions et les récits culturels sont portés, transformés et partagés à travers les lieux et les générations.

👩‍🎨 Dans le cadre de l'exposition, nous avons rencontré Sophia Kacimi et Nassim Azarzar pour évoquer leurs processus créatifs, les thèmes qui structurent leur travail et leurs contributions à Diaspora Wonderland.

🎨 From Queens to the halls of the Smithsonian: Danny Simmons has passed away at 72.
A painter, poet, novelist, and philanthropist, he was so much more than the older brother of Russell Simmons and Rev. Run. A former social worker turned full-time artist, he spent his life opening gallery doors for young artists of color. His brother called him "the true artist in the family."

The seven winners of the Bloomberg x Viva Technology Awards, honored yesterday, were presented with a trophy specially designed by sculptor Clara Tournay. ⁠

Born in 1996 and recipient of the Puvis de Chavannes Prize, this young artist explores in her work the transitional states of matter and the dialogue between the ancient and the contemporary, the natural and the artificial. ⁠

ArtMajeur selected her to create these trophies, named Maeve.⁠
