A little story and insight from this year. There are thoughtful Australians who have crossed my path since January who have been deeply engaged and incredibly supportive of what’s happening in Iran fully open to learning, regardless of their age or prior knowledge brilliantly they keep asking questions and keen to learn about Iran..really heartwarming to see them around me all the time since January often.

And then there are others who are completely dismissive, avoiding even the simplest question of how we are or how we feel knowing well, i was born in Iran and knowing most of the works I have made addressed the issues visually.

Some Australians go even further, pushing media-driven narratives and regime propaganda to my face as fact without ever considering that I lived in Iran for 22 years as a female artist under the Islamic laws, before the 17 years of my life in Australia.

I am slowly crawling back toward some sense of normal life, but goodness… this year!!!!!!😵‍💫.

The guilt of moving on and returning to normal life is real for Iranian borns in Diaspora! 🥺

Amongst all the heaviness in the world, there are always moments of light.

Seeing my Tear Collectors: Ashkdans 2024–2025 handblown glasses become part of one of Melbourne’s most vibrant and uplifting contemporary art collections, housed within an architectural masterpiece, has genuinely repaired a small part of my soul lately.

Thank you for your support, and for the beautifully curated display and photographs ✨ .farren 🩷

I will always be grateful to Australian people like Farren, and many others, who have cared for and supported my family and me through times of crisis since 2009.

As my father says:
“We owe our lives to Iran’s ancient soil and values, but Australia and the Australian people saved us and gave us a second chance at life. For that We hold tightly, morally and deeply, to Australian values and discipline and appreciate them.” 🇦🇺

Sacrifice is heavy. Have not posted on my art since January. We Iranian borns can never truly feel normal again, even when we pretend we are.

Some wounds do not close; they simply learn how to exist quietly inside us.

Sacrifice is Heavy, so
Happy Mother’s Day to all mums🩷🩷

Today, my heart is with the mothers of the 40,000+ Iranians who lost their lives fighting for freedom against the Satanic Islamic Regime.

I never dreamed of becoming a mother not on my path, but I can still feel the weight of those mother’s grieves . 🥺 and their never ending tears.

❤️‍🩹🥀🩸47 years of terror Since 1979 under the rule of the satanic Islamic Republic in Iran (full on sharia law and its ideology applied on citizens)

Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi is not just a name. Pahlavism represents, for vast majority of Iranians, a path forward for freedom and reclaiming old values dignity. You only have to attend weekend rally to hear the echo of 8 million Iranian diaspora calling his name under lion. sun flag. 🦁☀️

In January, millions called his name inside Iran “Javid Shah”, “King Reza Pahlavi” and tens of thousands more inside Iran were slaughtered in January by the evil regime. For a large number of Iranians, both inside and outside the country, Pahlavi has become a symbol of freedom.

However, the regime knows how to silence voices through violence and internet shutdowns while pushing its own narrative through propaganda.
