Global Arts Link was founded in 2008 by Charlene Lim to provide arts consultancy and cultural brokering services to artists, organisations, and presenters in search of the perfect act for their festival or venue. As the exclusive agent of renowned international ballet star Friedemann Vogel, Global Arts Link manages his collaborations with luxury brands and fashion magazines, as well as his not-for
-profit projects. In addition, Global Arts Link represents the multi-award-winning lighting designer Fabiana Piccioli and the critically acclaimed video/set/lighting designer and technical director Sander Loonen, both much sought after by leading choreographers, theatre and opera directors around the world. Global Arts Link also represents Mayberry Music: a sound design company founded by the celebrated music producer and composer Alexandre Varela, which specialises in creating original music compositions for fashion films, runway shows, and commercials for the luxury industry. Tour production has sadly been put on hold for Global Arts Link, since the start of the pandemic, which has severely impacted the sector. Up until ten, the agency has toured a number of theatre and dance productions to major festivals and theatres around the world. These include "Wot? No Fish!!" by bread&circuses, "Purge" by Brian Lobel, "kNOwn Face" by Chen-wei Lee, "Together Alone" by Chen-Wei Lee & Zoltan Vakulya, "Exposure" by Jo Bannon, and "A Celebration by Harold Pinter" directed by John Malkovich and performed by Julian Sands. It is hoped that international touring will pick up again in the near future, when we can put Covid-19 behind us! Last but not least, Global Arts Link offers consultancy and project management services, with a strong focus on international and intercultural projects. Highlights include providing cultural consultancy services to the Singapore Embassy in France and organizing the 2019 Urban Art Singapore showcase in Paris, the global dance tribute in 16 cities "Dance the Dream" celebrating the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech on 28 August 2013, for which Charlene was the International Producer, the 33rd ITI World Congress in Xiamen (2011) and the UK Pavilion National Day Performance at the Shanghai World Expo (2010) led by English National Ballet involving 130 students from UK and China dancing at Royal Albert Hall and at the Shanghai Expo.
