📢Nuit Blanche 2026 – Vernissage exceptionnel
📸 Robert Burley – Grands Lacs

📢 Nuit Blanche 2026 – Special Opening Night
📸 Robert Burley – Great Lakes
The Shared Horizon of Inland Seas
This Saturday, on the occasion of Nuit Blanche, the Canadian Cultural Centre will host a special opening for its new exhibition showcasing the works of Robert Burley, one of Canada’s most prominent contemporary photographers.
Spanning the border between Canada and the United States, making it disappear within its colossal, flowing expanse, the Great Lakes basin is home to millions of people, including Indigenous peoples.
A remarkable source of surface freshwater, among the largest in the world, the Great Lakes basin is a place of movement and exchange—of commerce, work, leisure, travel and reflection—but also of exploitation, risk and vulnerability.
From the diversity of its shores, Canadian photographer Robert Burley captures the monumental beauty of this elusive landscape—at times calming, at times unsettling.
