"The world needs more humanity… and more art. We don’t throw bombs for fun, we create for peace. Artists don’t destroy, we tell stories, we connect, we heal." ~ Savaq

Rolling through Gulfport like time slows down, this watercolor is my tribute to G. Gordon McFly, the iconic skateboarding gecko by local artist Ray Domingo, holding it down by the waterfront.

This neighborhood feels like a quiet protest in the best way… colorful streets, murals that speak, music drifting through the air, and a sense of community that reminds you what really matters.
Peace, creativity, expression, and kindness.

Full Throttle Art After the Grand Prix 🏁🎨🍺
March 1 we’re taking over Grand Central Brewhouse.

The engines cool down… the art heats up.

Sunday March 1 is the final day of the Grand Prix, and once the last lap is done, keep the momentum going. Swing by Grand Central Brewhouse and trade horsepower for creative power.

We’re bringing together 10 local artists from St. Pete and Tampa for a one day Art Collective Exhibition packed with original works and art prints. These are established artists with real roots in the Tampa Bay scene. Some of them travel nationwide for major art events, so having them all in one room right here in St. Pete is something special.

After the grand finale, grab a cold beer, slow down, and actually experience something. Meet the artists. Discover new work. Support local talent in a real way.

Racing adrenaline outside. Creative energy inside.

March 1 we’re taking over Grand Central Brewhouse.

Ten artists. One room. Zero filler.
We lined up a powerhouse group of local talent from Tampa and St. Pete, artists with real roots in the Tampa Bay scene and real careers to back it up. A few of them travel nationwide hitting major art events, so having them all under one roof right here in St. Pete is not an everyday thing. It is a moment.

This is not a pop up with posters taped to the wall. This is original work. Paintings. Prints. Pieces you can actually take home. Meet the artists. Talk to them. Support them. Start your collection or add something that actually means something.

If you live here, this one is for you. If you’re visiting, you picked the right weekend.

Bring friends. Grab a beer. Discover something new. Support local in a real way.

Beerstroke 🍺🎨 On March 1, the second floor at Grand Central Brewing becomes a space for art, beer, and conversation. A curated group of local artists, including myself, Savaq, will be exhibiting and selling original work in person throughout the afternoon.

This is not a pop up market. It’s a relaxed art exhibition where you can meet the artists, see the work up close, and enjoy a beer while you’re at it.

📍 Grand Central Brewing, second floor
🗓 March 1
⏰ 4 pm to 8 pm
📍 St. Petersburg, Florida

Come hang out upstairs, support local artists, and spend the afternoon with good art and good people 🍻

Here I am enjoying a fleeting fantasy (thanks to AI) with friends that every art lover would have loved to meet, enjoying bohemian nights, discussing the world, philosophy, and the arts. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all my Facebook friends. Keep painting and keep loving art. Hugs 🎅🎄🎁

I'm not a fan of selfies 🤳 but this one was worth it.

From left to right: Vincent van Gogh, Salvador Dalí, Savaq, Frida Kahlo, La Mona Lisa, Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, and the greatest... Leonardo DaVinci.

Guillermo del Toro says "art without pain is illustration. If a society ends up making songs written by AI thrive, then that society, without a doubt, deserves songs written by AI."
He doesn't think that will happen, though. "I think that you listen to Paul McCartney and John Lennon, and you know John Lennon lost his mother to a traffic accident. You listen to Bob Dylan and you know that Dylan crossed the chasm between folk and rock at his own peril. This music doesn't come without the life and the biography and the struggles. You know, van Gogh had to be institutionalized. He quarreled bitterly with Gauguin. He never really sold a painting. All these things informed the urgency of his brush strokes. If you remove any of that, then it's illustrative art and illustrative of something not lived."

The St. Petelican, https://bit.ly/4nwdG43

My tribute to St. Pete’s pelicans, the old St. Pete Pier inverted pyramid, and the timeless energy of Van Gogh’s Starry Night. This piece has become the most collected print in St. Pete, and for good reason, it’s about our city, our coast, and the wildlife we all care about.

I sign every print by hand, and they’re museum-quality so they’ll last for years. Whether you hang it in your home, office, or give it as a gift, you’ll own a piece of St. Pete history.

✅ Available right now on my website and Etsy shop.
✅ Shipping anywhere in Florida, or local pickup here in St. Pete.

This city inspires me every day, and I’m proud to keep creating art that gives back to the community I love. If you’ve been waiting, now’s the time to grab your own St. Petelican print.

“A picture is a poem without words”

“I try to express myself through art. I find much easier to deliver ideas, feelings and emotions painting on canvas; our joys and sorrows find a way to communicate in color leaving a series of interpretations in the subjective world of art. I find art as a fundamental source to find ourselves, and if we are lucky, we can answer the deepest and philosophical questions of our lives, even if those answers only make sense to us.

Introspection and connection with consciousness are essential in my work. I prefer a classic painting style with illustrative surrealist tendencies. When I receive painting commissions, I like to combine a modern touch and I’m very open to playing with new techniques and styles. Dreams paintings, portraits, and landscapes are my favorites, my signature is a thick brushstroke, people can perceive with textures the moment of the inspiration, I think this is a key in my artwork.”
