Since the launch of this project back in 2018, corsets have been almost omnipresent in my work. There’s no denying the utterly compelling effect of an extreme hourglass silhouette. Throughout my work in general and in this carousel in particular, there are several nods and tributes to , the self taught corset savant who shaped the XXIst century’s image of corsetry as much as his muses’s waists. One of them ( and my favorite if that’s even necessary to say) is the Queen of Burlesque herself whom I have drawn countless times since the very beginning of this body of work. In the past years, I was fortunate enough to create tailor made illustrations for her shows including two renditions of her fabulous Mister Pearl corsets. ❤️ Is it an obsession ? Of CORSET is ! ❤️
