This summer, Island Cultura Art Residency had the pleasure of welcoming artist Madeline Peckenpaugh to Paros, Greece, for a five-week residency.

Known for her atmospheric paintings, practice explores the reinterpretation of forms and spaces, inviting us to reconsider how we perceive the world around us.

During her time on the island, she immersed herself in the distinctive light, landscapes, and architecture of Paros, drawing inspiration from her surroundings to begin a new series of works that took shape throughout her stay.

We are deeply grateful to .kohls for his generous support, which allowed our resident to experience Paros from the heart of its vibrant and authentic capital, Paroikia.

It has been a true pleasure to follow Madeline’s journey and we warmly wish her every success in her future endeavours💙

The Island Cultura Art Residency is delighted to welcome our 2026 Artist-in-Residence, Madeline Peckenpaugh!

Over the next five weeks, Madeline Peckenpaugh will be living and working on Paros, drawing inspiration from the island’s unique atmosphere and translating its beauty into her exquisite paintings.

This year, our resident artist will be based in the heart of Paroikia, Paros’s main town, thanks to the generous support of ERRIKOS KOHLS , who kindly contributed to her accommodation.

We can’t wait to see how the magic of Paros finds its way onto Madeline’s canvas.
