Laure Sée’s experimental approach, somewhere between figuration and abstraction, seeks to blur the immediate reading of a photograph and question our relationship with the image. By separating the moment of capture from the moment of creation, she introduces a rupture between the photographic event and its materialisation. Laure Sée presents a series of transfers and prints on plaster. This technique provides a physical space and context for the image and invites us to reflect on the issues surrounding its dissemination. This process is an additional step in time, but also in transmission. It turns the image into an object, circumscribes it and forces the viewer to question what they are seeing.

L’approche expérimentale de Laure Sée, entre figuration et abstraction, cherche à brouiller la lecture immédiate d’une photographie et à questionner notre rapport à l’image. En différant le moment de la prise de vue et le moment de la création, elle introduit une rupture entre l’événement photographique et sa matérialisation. Laure Sée présente des séries de transferts et impressions sur plâtre. Cette technique offre un territoire et un contexte plastique à l’image et nous invite à réfléchir à ses enjeux de diffusion. Ce processus est une étape supplémentaire dans le temps, mais aussi dans la transmission. Il fait de l’image un objet, la circonscrit et force le regard à se poser la question de ce qu’il voit.

Catherine Revois’ artistic approach is part of a critical reflection on the contemporary status of the image and its modes of production, perception and circulation. De l’épaisseur aux profondeurs (From Thickness to Depths) is a creative and research project that questions the history of photography in the age of AI. Mirroring the appropriationist movement of the 1980s (does a painter ask permission from the landscape?) and using found, fragmented and transformed photographic images, this project explores the loss of materiality, the mutations of the image, algorithmic fabrication and contemporary cultural, technological and ethical issues.

La démarche artistique de Catherine Revois s’inscrit dans une réflexion critique sur le statut contemporain de l’image et ses modes de production, de perception et de circulation. De l’épaisseur aux profondeurs est un projet de création et de recherche qui interroge l’histoire de la photographie à l’ère de l’IA. À l’image du courant appropriationnisme des années 1980 (est-ce qu’un peintre demande une autorisation au paysage ?) et à partir d’images photographiques trouvées, fragmentées et transformées, ce projet explore la perte de matérialité, les mutations de l’image, la fabrication algorithmique et les enjeux culturels, technologiques et éthiques contemporains.

Elie Monferier presents an investigation into the mining heritage of Ariège, viewed as both a mental and geological landscape. In a region threatened by oblivion, he examines the gradual disappearance of the physical traces, archives and testimonies that constitute and circulate memory. Confronted with mining sites rendered inaccessible by changing landscapes, weather conditions, altitude and erosion, he explores how the different layers of memory affect what we can and cannot see, and how what remains hidden haunts a photographic approach that constantly refers back to the notion of loss.

Elie Monferier présente une enquête sur la mémoire minière ariégeoise envisagée comme un paysage mental autant que géologique. Dans un territoire menacé par l’oubli, il interroge la disparition progressive des traces matérielles, des archives et des témoignages par lesquels la mémoire se constitue et circule. En se confrontant à des sites miniers rendus inaccessibles par la mutation des paysages, les conditions météorologiques, l’altitude ou encore l’érosion, il sonde comment les différentes strates de la mémoire agissent sur ce que l’on peut ou ne peut pas voir, et comment ce qui demeure caché hante une approche photographique sans cesse renvoyée à la notion de perte.

Julien Mignot pays particular attention to light, surface and duration, constructing images where stillness and movement coexist. The Temps Présent series captures the essence of a day in a single image, synthesising all the invisible colours and events. Inspired by the impact of photography on painting, it explores the relationship between time and reality. The artist records variations in the sky and ocean, compiling data to understand the formation of colours. The work invites contemplation and reflection on our place in the world.

Julien Mignot accorde une attention particulière à la lumière, à la surface et à la durée, construisant des images où immobilité et mouvement coexistent. La série Temps Présent capture l’essence d’une journée en une image, synthétisant toutes les couleurs et événements invisibles. Inspirée par l’impact de la photographie sur la peinture, elle explore le rapport au temps et à la réalité. L’artiste enregistre les variations du ciel et de l’océan, compilant des données pour comprendre la formation des couleurs. L’œuvre invite à la contemplation et à une réflexion sur notre place dans le monde.

The work presented by Valérie Le Guern originated during a visit to the Gothenburg Botanical Garden, a place where the nature we contemplate is manufactured, organised and staged. The series superimposes two layers of images: on the glass of the frame, floral photographs printed on micro-perforated adhesive film. In the background, protected by the glass, is an image of gardens photographed at dusk. This liminal moment between visibility and darkness evokes nature freed from the human gaze, intact but artificialised, organised and preserved by human intervention. The framed photograph survives, while the image outside deteriorates. The device illustrates a paradox: what humans control is preserved; what they observe is altered.

Le travail présenté par Valérie Le Guern prend naissance lors d’une visite au jardin botanique de Göteborg, un lieu où la nature que nous contemplons est une nature fabriquée, organisée, mise en scène. La série superpose deux strates d’images : sur la vitre du cadre, des photographies florales imprimées sur un adhésif microperforé. En arrière-plan, protégée par le verre, une image de jardins photographiés au crépuscule. Ce moment liminaire entre visibilité et obscurité évoque la nature affranchie du regard humain, intacte mais artificialisée, organisée et conservée par le geste de l’homme. La photographie encadrée survit, tandis que l’image extérieure se dégrade. Le dispositif illustre un paradoxe : ce que l’humain maîtrise est préservé ; ce qu’il observe s’altère.
