WHERE ART MEETS THE EYE 👁️ n°3 on the map
Gabri Schumacher & Evi Bakker

Vernissage Wednesday 7th Oct 6-10pm
Exhibition 2-11th October
Opening hours 11-7pm
Atelier Néerlandais 22 av Victoria 75001

This collection is the result of a unique collaboration between a gold- and silversmith and an ophthalmologist, both designers. At the intersection of art and science, they explore how the complexity of the eye can be translated into contemporary jewelry.
Through dialogue and experimentation, ophthalmological concepts are transformed into sculptural jewelry pieces that combine precision, craftsmanship, and artistic expression. Some works draw inspiration from anatomical structures, while others explore abstract notions such as focus, motion, and perception. Each jewel tells a story about how we see, observe, or are seen.
This project creates a space where the science of vision becomes a source of creative expression and where design gives it tangible form, expanding the dialogue between art and perception.

Objects are vessels for both our individual and collective psyche, imbued with meaning and symbolism awaiting our stories and intentions, a universal phenomenon that transcends cultural and geographical boundaries. With the body as a vehicle transporting these narratives we transform them into talismans, amulets or keepsakes—to attract love, to ward off evil, to cherish memories, or manifest strength. It evolves into a social event that is observed or experienced by people across different parts of the world, often sharing similar characteristics or patterns. As Orhan Pamuk once said: “I don’t want to be a tree, I want to be its meaning”, from the novel My Name Is Red (1988). Karin and Cynthia’s exhibition The Secret Life of Things invites you to explore the intricate relationships between form, material, and meanings.

What Remains is an exhibition that explores the concept of time, in which each piece of jewellery appears as a relic, a tangible trace of what once was, of what has changed, and of what has faded away. Whether it be a place, a moment, or a person.

The artists brought together Marion Fillancq, Sarrah Haouas, Karine Pollastro approach jewellery not as mere adornment, but as an object of memory, of transformation, of survival. The exhibition forms part of a broader reflection on time: geological, organic, mineralogical, vital, a time that shapes, erases and transforms. It takes the form of immersive installations and participatory works, where visitors are invited to slow down, to feel, and to observe the materials and signs of a discreet yet omnipresent temporality.

LA RÉCRÉATION / PLAYTIME n°15 on the Map
Aude Medori Galatée Pestre

Vernissage Tuesday 6th October 4-9pm
Exhibition 5th-14th October
Opening hours 12am-8pm and by appointment
Le 59, 59 rue de Bretagne, 75003

When Aude Medori and Galatée Pestre get together, it’s a breath of fresh air: they exchange ideas and draw inspiration from each other’s work. Handprints for one, found jewelry for the other—some of their pieces echo one another.
As established jewelry makers, they practice their craft in a traditional way, engaging directly with clients, their desires, and their stories. So where does creativity fit in when designing custom pieces?
A creative break is essential to progress and renew oneself, and in today’s fast-paced world, it’s a daily quest for “extra” time in the studio to imagine, test, fail, and start over.
The two artists invite the public to witness this re-creative process and to follow the paths they’ve laid out to arrive at the long-awaited new creation.

03/10 @ 20:00 | PERFORMANCE COLLECTIVE
04/10 @ 15:00 | RENCONTRE AVEC LES ARTISTES

Six women artists working across contemporary jewellery, object-making, photography, and performance explore intimate and psychological landscapes through sensory, poetic approaches. Rooted in the body and introspection, their practices address identity, oppression, and memory. Through tactile materials and layered recollections, each work maps fragments of interiority. Jewellery becomes more than ornament—message, talisman, constraint, or anchor—connecting body, landscape, and social space, and revealing hidden emotions and identities.
The exhibition unfolds as a sensory labyrinth, blending objects with photography, natural elements, sound, text, and scent. Visitors are invited into a poetic wandering where disciplines blur and the intimate meets the collective. The body—tense, moving, transforming—runs throughout, activated in performance, captured in image, and extended or restrained by objects.

10/10 RENCONTRE AVEC LA CRÉATRICE 3PM

Using photographs of shadows captured in various settings (urban, industrial, and natural landscapes), I envision fleeting forms that I project onto rusted metal discs. Through the creation of one or more unique pieces—including a sculptural necklace—this project explores jewelry as a liminal object, situated between sculpture, the body, and ritual. It serves as a field for artistic experimentation, where each piece embodies a condensation of time, the shadow—a frozen trace of light—rust—an imprint of slow decay—and stone—a crystallized geological fragment.
