It is with profound honor that the Better World Fund extends this invitation to join us at the Procuratie Vecchie, Piazza San Marco 128, St. Mark's Square, Venice, Italy, on the eighth of September 2026, for the Assembly of Honour, convened during the Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica della Biennale di Venezia, the Venice International Film Festival.

We are delighted to welcome you as a guest of the Assembly of Honour, and we invite you to attend and participate in an evening that brings together the most influential voices in film, literature, and music from across the world.

This year, we are proud to honor Egypt as the country of honor, celebrating its rich cultural heritage and contributions to the arts, with the participation of the Ministry of Egypt in Italy and prominent diplomatic and government figures. Among our distinguished guests from the worlds of film, literature, and music are leading international artists and innovators who have confirmed their participation.

It is with profound honour that the Better World Fund reflects on the morning of May 18, 2026, at Copal Beach, Cannes — a morning of deliberate dialogue that set the tone for all that followed.

Guila Clara Kessous, UNESCO Artist for Peace and initiator of the Femina Pax UN Resolution, led an assembly of ministers, diplomats, and institutional leaders in an examination of what it would take to move women from the margins of international diplomacy to its centre. The data that informed that conversation is both clear and urgent: women represent less than 10% of negotiators in peace processes worldwide, yet their participation increases the durability of agreements by over 35%. The session closed with a symbolic act of support for the Femina Pax resolution at the United Nations.
