Tout le monde aujourd’hui, du simple fait qu’il a au moins un téléphone ou une tablette peut déjà être sensibilisé à une nouvelle forme d’esthétisme d’art digital. La galerie Perrotin véritable référence en matière de programmation artistique et culturelle représentait naturellement pour moi l’écrin rêvé pour accueillir les oeuvres de Atlas V, des œuvres au croisement de l’art, du gaming et du story telling et une nouvelle forme d’émerveillement.

Mathilde Denize est une artiste plasticienne dont la pratique est particulièrement orientée vers la peinture, le travail d’installation, de composition sculpturale, de performance et de vidéo. Tell Me If It’s Not New est à la fois le titre de son premier film et celui de sa prochaine exposition au CAC La Traverse. Pendant sa résidence à la Villa Médicis de Rome (2020-21), Mathilde Denize a spécifiquement pensé un projet de film qui mettrait en scène ses « costumes de peinture ».

Massive thanks to Emmanuel Perrotin for his trust. Emmanuel Perrotin is an art icon, enlightening a whole generation of artists and I am honored today to run this adventure by his side. Special thanks to Vanessa Clairet, Rudy Lacroix, Quentin Metayer, Arnaud Tanguy, Pamela Eschylles and Caroline Verhalle !

I am so thrilled to introduce you PERROTIN VR - Narrative Experience by Atlas V. A really special project I initiated driven by the belief that the art lovers are ready to enjoy extraordinary immersive productions and unlimited forms of artistic expressions. Now & Until November 27 !

PERROTIN VR – Narrative Experience by Atlas V aims to dedicate a specific venue to Virtual Reality, a technology which offers great possibilities in creating cultural experiences and immersive journeys.

The sessions start on October 19, with four productions at the crossroads between art and real time technologies. 

First Battlescar, a unique production narrated by Rosario Dawson in English and Jehnny Beth in French, exploring the secret worlds of the Lower East Side in the 70’s.

In addition to Battlescar is the three-part trilogy Gloomy Eyes narrated by Colin Farrell and Tahar Rahim, that won the Prix Cristal at the Annecy Film Festival in 2019.

Next is Spheres, an interactive film deep in the heart of the cosmos.

And lastly, the touching and eye-opening piece Notes on Blindness where storytelling, art direction and graphical universe form a unique and singular immersion.

Do remember they can’t cancel the spring 2020 - IPAD drawings - David Hockney in 🌷

« (...) Comme des idiots, nous avons perdu notre lien avec la nature alors même que nous en faisons pleinement partie. Tout cela se terminera un jour. Alors, quelles leçons saurons-nous en tirer ? J’ai 83 ans, je vais mourir. On meurt parce qu’on naît. Les seules choses qui importent dans la vie, ce sont la nourriture et l’amour, dans cet ordre, et aussi notre petit chien Ruby. J’y crois sincèrement, et pour moi, la source de l’art se trouve dans l’amour. J’aime la vie.
