Day 4 with this wonderful « La Brise Printannière » by
This sculptural day bed, crafted entirely from gilded bronze, fetaures a bench seat standing on a serie of six bronze feet. The backrest is formed by an interlacing of bronze rods that mimic winding branches and twigs, among which delicate oak leaves and flowers are scattered here and there. This backrest extends and slopes gently over the seat, as if stirred by the gentle breath of a spring breeze.
The striking realism of this piece is achieved through the technique of burnt wood. This complex craft allows for a highly refined finish, revealing even the finest details with precision: lichens, buds and the natural textures of the branches.This unique piece is an original creation commissioned for the Chastel-Maréchal gallery.

From April 8 to 12 during come discover this masterpiece by Emilio Terry!
Designed for the dining room of the villa Les Palmiers in Nice, built in the late 19th century and a family property owned by the Patenôtre couple, this mirror falls wi- thin an eclectic interior mixing 18th century with pieces by the most prominent figures of that time, Jean-Michel Frank, Alberto Giacometti. The mirror itself is a perfect illustration of Emilio Terry’s neo-classical aesthetic. Its semi-circular arch and Greek pattern are borrowed from Antiquity. These classical references, revisited with a touch of extravagance, reflect Terry’s attachment to an ideal of timeless harmony, while affirming his taste for the unexpected.
