N°82- Parocchia del Carmine e Sant’Angelo
The church was originally established as the convent church of the Fathers of the Order of Mount Carmel. Construction began in 1577 in an area of Monte Sant’Angelo that at the time lay outside the town walls. Religious services were initially held in a pre-existing rural chapel dedicated to Saint Mary of Loreto, which was gradually enlarged to meet the needs of the growing community
The church was not fully completed until the 18th century, when it acquired the dimensions and architectural form that it still retains today. This is evidenced by inscriptions beneath the broken-arch pediment above the main entrance and on the façade’s crowning section, both bearing the Roman numeral date MDCCXC (1790). The construction contract had been signed on 1 January 1782 by the prior, Father Michele Maria Rago, and an Abruzzese master builder who had already worked on other projects in the town.
In the square before the church stands a statue of Padre Pio, dating from 1982. It was commissioned by the parish priest serving the church at that time.

During the 2000s, the church underwent restoration and renovation works.

N°76– Ignacz Fisher
F. Ignác Fisher (tóvárosi), industrialist, was born in Tataóváros in 1840, where his father owned an old faience factory.

Fisher founded a porcelain-painting institute in Budapest, which he developed—through diligent work—into a major majolica manufacturing enterprise. His productions won distinctions at national and international exhibitions and led to considerable exports.

In recognition of the merits he acquired in this industrial field, he received numerous honors and was recently granted Hungarian nobility. He also took an active part in public affairs: an active member of the Industrial Association as well as of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he also served on a commission of the capital.

In 1892, his factory was transformed into a joint-stock company, of which Fisher became the managing director.
