I am so looking forward to taking a botanical painting workshop in the beautiful garden at Monks House. We will draw, cover various painting techniques leading onto painting the chosen subject. There are still a couple of places, all information on last post. It will be such a lovely way to relax and enjoy a new skill. Wednesday 20th from 10am - 3pm.

I have added the lower iris flower head now plus buds and leaves. I still cannot believe it flowered again and I was able to add to it. I am hoping it will flower again next year as I would love to paint it again. Somewhere I wrote down the name, if anyone knows the name I would be grateful if you could let me know.

I have finished the cow parsley just in time it seems to be going over very quickly. I have painted it before and remembered how long all the small leaves took to paint. This time I decided to paint the lower leaves before the flowers came out. Very pleased I was one step ahead!

Home after a wonderful four days at the Rosa Botanical Art Fair, West Dean. I so enjoyed the event and thank you to everyone for all their hard work. I started painting this Iris three years ago, I went into my garden this morning and couldn’t believe it has flowered again after that length of time. I now just have to find the time to paint it. .artfair

This painting amongst others is on exhibition at Sullington Barn, Sullington Lane,Storrington, West Sussex RH20 4AE The barn is so beautiful and in an amazing position under the downs a very special place to visit. A wonderful cafe open from 10am - 4pm while the exhibition is on finishing on the 4th May. I had the very best lunch. Please do visit. Four other artists involved Rose Emma Cermanics,

Eight paintings all packed up and ready to go to the Rosa Botanical Art Fair at West Dean from 1st - 4th May, 10am - 5 pm.The above painting is called Summer all the flowers grown in my garden, the other seven paintings are seasonal with a few extras! I am so looking forward to taking a workshop in the beautiful Monks House garden, Rodmell. I popped in last week the garden is looking amazing with so much colour. The workshop is on the 20th May, there will be a choice of flowers to paint and lots of time to just enjoy being in the garden all details about booking are above.

This hydrangea is part of a painting that is going to be exhibited at Sullington Manor farm the Old Workshop. I am going to be at the barn all day on the 25th April, it would be lovely to see you if you are in the neighbourhood.
The exhibition runs from the 23rd April - 3rd May from 10am - 4pm. Other artists exhibiting are Carolyn Bruford- Sculpture,

The Sunflowers and seed heads are going to be on exhibition at The Rosa Art fair, West Dean, Chichester. Also enclosed one of Julian Warrender beauties, we are going to be sharing a stand in the marquee so do come and find us. Such an incredible exhibition to be involved in with every type of botanical art you can imagine. 1st - 4th May a great day out.
