Richard Serra at OFFSCREEN 2025 🖤📺

Three works were presented by — « Three Angles Prop » (1969), « Television Delivers People » (1973), and « Untitled » (1985).
From forged steel to moving image and oilstick on paper, these works trace a lifelong dialogue between matter, balance, and perception.

Renowned for his large-scale, site-specific sculptures, Serra redefined the boundaries of sculpture through his exploration of weight, gravity, and the viewer’s physical relationship to space.

📺 You will be able to see « Television Delivers People » again on November 28 at the , as part of the program « Cinema Minimal ».

The 2025 Curators’ Prize was awarded to (presented by , France) for their video installation « You Shouldn’t Have to See This » (2024).

This silent 7’30’’ loop shows sleeping children — a tender scene that gradually reveals a deeper unease. The artists filmed Ukrainian children who had been forcibly taken into Russian territory and later returned to Ukraine.

By revealing an intimate moment that should have remained unseen, the work questions the ethics of witnessing: every image of war is first and foremost evidence of a crime, and only then, possibly, a work of art — one that perhaps should never have had to exist.

Launched in 2024, the Curators’ Prize is awarded by over two dozen curators from major international institutions, invited to the OFFSCREEN Curatorial Residency.

You Shouldn’t Have to See This » (2024).

Today is the last day to discover Martin Désilets’ work at OFFSCREEN.

Traîner as a painter, he has long explored the fertile tension between painting and photography.

His experimental practice is driven by processes of accumulation, repetition, and erasure — gestures through which images are both constructed and dissolved.
