Ancrée à Marseille, l'association déploie tout au long de l'année, ici et ailleurs, un éventail d’œuvres internationales représentatives de la grande diversité des écritures vidéo et numériques: projection de monobandes, exposition d’installations, performances mettant en avant l’aspect transdisciplinaire qui a marqué cet art depuis ses origines (danse, musique, poésie…). Animé.e.s par le désir d’être à l’écoute des nouvelles écritures, des nouvelles audaces poétiques, nous sommes à la fois soucieux.euses de l’Histoire (d’où vient l'art vidéo ?) et de l’esprit d’invention. Nous inventons mille manières de présenter les œuvres, brassant les cultures ("savantes" et "populaires", contemporaines et traditionnelles)…
Nous allons à la rencontre des publics et des artistes que nous aimons à nommer les poètes.ses électroniques. Pour que les regards puissent se croiser, les paroles s'échanger, l'imagination se débrider, l'ailleurs se repenser/ré-inventer, une hospitalité radicale est de mise. Nous savons prolonger les rencontres après les évènements artistiques afin que puissent se déployer et exister pleinement ces instants de liberté d'échanges, de réflexions sans contraintes. Tout au long de l'année, nos escales nous transportent en France et à l'international pour mener les actions suivantes :
-le Festival international des Instants Vidéo qui est au cœur de notre action se tient en octobre à Marseille (projections, expositions, performances, rencontres professionnelles ...)
- des ateliers de sensibilisation et de création, laboratoires d’expérimentations, d’inspiration et de formation
- des conférences sur l’histoire de l’art vidéo, la création internationale...
- des programmations internationales accompagnées et construites comme on écrit un poème
- des coopérations (inter)nationales construites comme une constellation, où la création artistique est un composant essentiel de la société, en prise avec les enjeux sociaux, politiques, culturels…
- le soutiens aux artistes et à la création artistique (mise en relation, accompagnement....) English
Based in Marseille, the association spread out all year long, here and there, a choice of international art works representative of the large diversity of video and digital writings: monobands' screenings,exhibition of installations, performances... which show the transdisciplinarity of video art, since its invention (dance, music, poetry...). Driven by a deep concern for new languages, new poetical audacities, we care about history (where does video art comes from? Where is video art today? Where is video art going?) and at the same time about the evolution of technologies. We try to invent different ways of presenting the works, mingling cultures (“high brow” and “popular”, contemporaries and traditionals...). We go meeting the publics and the artists who we like to name the electronic poets. In order to cross-fertilise ideas, to exchange words, to let imagination run, to re-think/re-invent the elsewhere, our actions are are framed as inviting places and times, or even in a supreme hospitality. What we do
All the year long, we are making stops in France and abroad, to lead the following activities:
- the international festival Les Instants Vidéo which is the heart of our activity, takes place in
Marseille every November (screenings, exhibitions, performances, professional encounters ...)
- workshops of awareness and of creation, as laboratories of experimentation, inspiration and education,
- conferences about the history of video art and the international creation,
- international screenings that we always accompany and which are written as poems,
- (inter)national cooperations shaped like a constellation, in which the artistic creation is approach as an essential component of the society, dealing with social, political and cultural issues.
