What if a house did not sit on the land, but became part of it?

Designed by Mexican architect Javier Senosiain, Casa Orgánica rejects the rigid geometry of conventional architecture in favor of a space shaped around the human body. Inspired by the form of a peanut shell, the house unfolds through two luminous oval volumes—one for living, the other for sleeping—connected by a low, narrow passage that turns movement into an almost instinctive experience.

Built from a flexible ferrocement shell and partially buried beneath soil and grass, its walls, ceilings and floors merge into one continuous surface. Windows and skylights bring daylight into the cave-like interior, while built-in furniture follows its curves rather than interrupting them. From the outside, the architecture nearly disappears: the garden is also the roof, and walking across the landscape means walking over the house itself.

Completed in 1984, Javier Senosiain ‘s Casa Orgánica is less an object placed in nature than a living space returned to it—architecture experienced not only through sight, but through the body.

Some people archive images to remember. Others archive them to resist
disappearance. For Romaisa Baddar, photography exists somewhere between those instincts: a fragile document of intimacy, atmosphere and cultural memory. Through publishing and curatorial work, she approaches images not as fixed objects, but as living witnesses; carriers of migration, identity, longing and the invisible emotional weight spaces can hold.
