All’interno del progetto TRANScenDANCE, i 5 partner europei hanno realizzato una serie di interviste a persone trans e non binarie in Francia, Italia, Romania, Serbia e Spagna, per raccogliere prospettive, esperienze e vissuti legati all’identità di genere nei diversi contesti culturali.

🎙 In questo video presentiamo l’intervista a Elia, realizzata da Nexus.

Elia è un italiano laureato in Scienze Motorie e dell'Educazione che ha trovato il coraggio per parlare del suo lungo processo per accettare la sua identità.

La sua intervista offre uno spunto sulla lotta che gli individui possono dover affrontare per accettare di abitare un corpo a cui sentono di non appartenere e invita il pubblico a riflettere sulla necessità di introdurre cambiamenti atti a promuovere la sensibilità alle questioni di genere, all'interno degli ambienti scolastici.

During the TRANScenDANCE training in Marseille — a 5-day journey spread over three weekends — four participants agreed to share their experiences.

TRANScenDANCE at +DE GENRES Festival in Marseille

On March 15, 2025, Cie Essevesse brings TRANScenDANCE to Marseille for a special event at +DE GENRES Festival. Hosted at KLAP Maison pour la danse, this gathering explores how to make cultural spaces more inclusive and accessible for trans individuals across Europe.

The event will feature an experiential dance session led by Fabio & Antonino, followed by a roundtable discussion with trans artists and cultural experts on strategies for accessibility in the arts. A Q&A session will close the event, offering space for dialogue, exchange, and new perspectives on inclusion.
