ART-O-RAMA International fair of contemporary art of Marseille
from the 28th to the 30th August 2026

ART-O-RAMA is the first international contemporary art fair in the South of France and has been developing a new format that makes its uniqueness ; each booth is considered as an exhibition space which architectural specificities lie on the gallery’s curatorial proposition for our fair. We allow gallery owners to present themselves under a unique and original light ; signing their artistic line in

a space they have designed according to the project they have built with their artists. ART-O-RAMA fosters meetings between contemporary art world actors and has made of its intimate format (around 20 curatorial projects) a stamp for quality of relations and artistic statements.

[ART-O-RAMA 2026: ONE LAST PRIZE]

The 2026 edition of the fair has officially come to an end, but not before giving one last award: the Rendez Vous du Design et de l'Art Contemporain (RDV/DAC) Prize for the design section!

The prize rewards the creativity and artistic courage in the design field, and this year award goes to Fatma Mostafa, represented by Maison Mode Méditerranée.

L’édition 2026 du salon vient officiellement de se terminer, mais non sans décerner un ultime prix : celui des Rendez-vous du Design et de l'Art contemporain (RDV/DAC) pour la section design !

Ce prix récompense la créativité et l'audace artistique dans le domaine du design ; cette année, il est attribué à Fatma Mostafa, représentée par la Maison Mode Méditerranée.

[ART-O-RAMA 2026: YESTERDAY'S PRIZES]

We are thrilled to announce that Maria Freire Montané, represented by Chiquita Room, is the winner of the Mc collection Award.

"Vendaval de silíce" (2026) was acquired by the Mc collection, and Maria Freire Montané received a future residency followed by a collective exhibition in Italy, and will publish a 10.000-copy catalogue of her work, distributed by Cura Magazine.

« Vendaval de silíce » (2026) a été acquis par la collection Mc, et Maria Freire Montané s'est vu attribuer une future résidence suivie d'une exposition collective en Italie ; elle publiera par ailleurs un catalogue de son œuvre tiré à 10 000 exemplaires, distribué par Cura Magazine.

We are thrilled to announce that Cécilia Mentasti, represented by French Place, is the winner of the Because of Many Suns Prize, awarded by the Taurisano Collection.

Her works "Ovunque ma non qui (Marseille Marseille Marseillllle)" and "Ovunque ma non qui (Wanna Go to the Seaside)" (2026) were selected by curator Massimiliano Maglione for this award conceived to support emerging artistic practices that critically engage with contemporary society and envision alternative futures.

Ses œuvres « Ovunque ma non qui (Marseille Marseille Marseillllle) » et « Ovunque ma non qui (Wanna Go to the Seaside) » (2026) ont été sélectionnées par le commissaire d’exposition Massimiliano Maglione pour ce prix destiné à soutenir les pratiques artistiques émergentes qui portent un regard critique sur la société contemporaine et envisagent des avenirs alternatifs.

Here are all the events for today, Sunday 30th of August, the last day of Art-o-rama!

- Petit Plateau -

• 2:15 pm – 3:45 pm
Discussion with Contemporaines, an association dedicated to advancing gender equality in contemporary art and combating the underrepresentation of women, non-binary, and trans artists. This roundtable brings together participants from the 2026 edition of the programme: Prune Phi, mentor artist; Abirami, mentee artist; Carla Alberny, mentor pair facilitator; moderated by Nadiejda Hachami.

• 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm
Marseille / Manila roundtable, exploring the sisterhood between these two cities and celebrating the ingenuity of those who know how to make do as a counterpoint to binary and automated ways of thinking. Moderated by F***y Kroener.

Announcement of Rendez-vous du Design et de l’Art Contemporain (RDV/DAC) Design Prize.

Discussion avec l’association Contemporaines qui œuvre pour l’égalité de genre dans l’art contemporain et lutte contre la sous-représentation des artistes femmes, non-binaires et trans. Une table ronde réunissant la promotion 2026 du programme : Prune Phi, artiste mentore, Abirami, artiste mentorée, Carla Alberny, accompagnatrice du binôme et modérée par Nadiejda Hachami.

Table ronde Marseille/Manille, autour de la gémellité entre ces deux villes, prônant l’intelligence de ceux qui savent se débrouiller comme un rempart à la pensée binaire et automatisée. Une discussion modérée par F***y Kroener.

[ART-O-RAMA 2026: YESTERDAY'S PRIZES]

We are thrilled to announce that Lucie Etna Lefebvre-Hawthorn (in the Art section) and Eugénie Boetzle (in the Design section) are the Lauréates of the François Bret Prize by the Beaux-Arts de Marseille!

You can discover their works in the "Studio" space of the fair!

Alongside this Prize, the new Jacques-Henri Hostyn Prize was awarded this year to six other students :
· Aurélie Arzoine Lafages, Lucas Delamar, Clovis Mwilambwe Ngoy from the 2025 Graduates
· Mathilde Jardin, Emilie Martinez Ngombet, Claire Tea from the 2026 Graduates

We are thrilled to announce that Nøne Futbol Club & Tatiana Trouvé, represented by Atelier Arcay, are the winners of the Coco Beach Prize by the Arthothèque de Villeurbanne!

Their works "Work n°911 - Peekaboo 13" by Nøne Futbol Club (2026) and "Sans titre" by Tatiana Trouvé (2008) will then join the collection of the Artothèque de Villeurbanne.

[ART-O-RAMA 2026: PRIZES]

We are thrilled to announce that the Roger Pailhas Prize will be awarded during this 2026 edition of Art-o-rama.

Roger Pailhas inaugurated his first gallery in Marseille (Cours Julien area) in 1986 with a group show that gathered Daniel Buren, Gilbert Della-Nocce, Toni Grand, Jannis Kounellis, Sol LeWitt, Mario Merz, and Bruce Nauman.

Paying tribute to the Marseille-based gallerist, known for his daring and innovative booths within the most prestigious art fairs, Art-o-rama has organized the Roger Pailhas Prize since 2015, awarded by a committee of collectors and art professionals.
It rewards the best curatorial project by reimbursing the costs of participation at the fair.

The Announcement of the Roger Pailhas Prize will take place on Friday at 6 pm in the VIP Area

Il récompense le projet curatorial le plus audacieux par le remboursement des frais de participation à la foire.
La remise du Prix Roger Pailhas aura lieu samedi à partir de 18h dans l’espace VIP.

[ART-O-RAMA 2026: PRIZES]

Les Rendez-vous du Design et de l’Art Contemporain (RDV/DAC) is an association dedicated to the two artistic practices of Contemporary Art and Design.
Its scope of action extends across the south-east of France, particularly in Marseille, with one of the largest concentrations of artists’ studios in France and southern Europe in France’s second-largest city.
For RDV/DAC, contemporary art and design are much more than paintings on a wall or functional objects. They are windows onto the creativity, expression and reflection of our time. With a view to helping artists directly, RDV/DAC awards two prizes at the Art-o-rama Contemporary Art and Design Fair.

The Announcement of the RDV/DAC Prize will take place on Friday at 6 pm in the VIP Area

Nous sommes ravi·es d’annoncer que le Prix RDV/DAC sera décerné lors de cette édition 2026 d’Art-o-rama.

Les Rendez-vous du Design et de l’Art Contemporain (RDV/DAC) est une association dédiée aux deux pratiques artistiques que sont l’Art Contemporain et le Design.
Son champ d’action s’étend sur le territoire du sud-est et plus particulièrement à Marseille, compte tenu de l’une des plus grandes concentrations d’ateliers d’artistes de France et d’Europe du Sud dans la deuxième ville de France.
Pour RDV/DAC, l’art contemporain et le design sont bien plus que des tableaux accrochés à un mur ou des objets fonctionnels. Ce sont des fenêtres ouvertes sur la créativité, l’expression et la réflexion de notre époque. Souhaitant directement aider les artistes, RDV/DAC remet lors du Salon d’Art Contemporain et de Design Art-o-rama deux prix.

La remise du Prix RDV/DAC aura lieu samedi à partir de 18h dans l’espace VIP.
