Quelle belle surprise ce fut de trouver ce tissu dans mon (énorme) stock de chutes... je l’avais utilisé pour un bombers, il y a quelques années déjà, et la version medium de la pochette DARLA est rentrée dedans pile poil !
Et puis ce foulard, récupéré également a été parfait pour la doublure !

What a pleasant surprise it was to find this fabric in my (huge) scraps stash... I used it to sew a bomber jacket a few years ago and the medium version of DARLA fit right into what was left of it!

C’est ce super tissu qui a valu son super nom à ce super patron ! Lorsque je vous ai sollicitées, vous avez été nombreuses à me proposer des noms pour cette nouvelle pochette et une grande partie des suggestions ont été en lien avec les seventies... rapport à ce tissu de récup incroyable ! Et je suis particulièrement reconnaissante envers Fleurette, qui a proposé Darladiladada, proposition que j’ai tronquée pour baptiser ma dernière création !
Petit zoom sur la poche arrière zippée, que j’utilise personnellement pour mes cartes.

When I asked for your help, a whole lot of you came up with amazing name ideas for this project, many of which were related to the seventies... not surprising with such a fabric! And I am particularly thankful for Fleurette’s idea of Darla!

Au départ, je voulais simplement réutiliser le tissu d’un vieux sac tout abîmé pour m’en faire une sacoche à bandoulière, mais à mesure que le cahier des charges se précisait dans ma tête, les détails se sont multipliés, mes exigences en matière de finitions se sont accrues et j’ai finalement décidé qu’il me fallait vous dessiner un patron à part entière…

Voici DARLA, la sacoche à bandoulière !
DARLA est une pochette zippée, entièrement doublée, munie d’une poche avant avec un rabat boutonné, d’une poche arrière zippée, d’une poche intérieure zippée également et d’une cloison séparatrice pour garder chaque chose à sa place.
Je vous propose trois tailles pour cette pochette : la plus petite est un rectangle en hauteur, parfaite pour trimballer votre portefeuille, votre téléphone et un bon livre de poche. La moyenne, carrée vous permettra d’ajouter quelques effets personnels en plus. La plus grande, un rectangle horizontal a été pensée pour contenir un ordinateur portable 16 pouces.

DARLA is a zipped bag, entirely lined, equipped with a front flap pocket, a back zipped pocket, an inner zipped pocket, and an inner divider to keep every item in its place.
DARLA offers 3 sizes: the smallest is perfect to carry around your wallet, your phone and a small book. The medium size is square and will allow to add a few personal effects. The large version was designed to contain most 16” portable computers.
As options, you can pad the bag, finish seams with a bias tape or French seams, add corded piping to the periphery, insert a keychain and install an adjustable strap or not.
