What's a pleasure to welcome alyrik for this fresh Ak Family podcast series :)

alyrik is a producer and DJ based in Wrocław (Poland), originally from Belarus. His main genres are deep techno and ambient. His mission as a DJ: for the listeners, to create the right atmosphere for immersion in music, dance and self; for the scene, to represent lesser-known tracks, producers and labels.

This mix is special to me for two reasons:
- A quarter of the tracks are my own, including 3 unreleased works.
- Emotionally, the mix turned out to resemble ancient Greek theatre.
It has two acts, separated by an ambient interlude.
The first is slower: a prologue, an unexpected twist, rising tension, and then a resolution that brings peace.
The second is faster: the hero's trials, struggle and overcoming, followed by reflection and the beautiful melancholy of the denouement. After that goes euphoria and playfulness: release through joy, like a satyr play after the tragedies.
And at the very end — an epilogue: quiet, luminous sadness, catharsis.
I think the dancefloor and ancient theatre are relatives: both are hours-long collective rituals of music and trance. And this mix is that kind of ritual, condensed into two hours.

Premiere : CLN - Arborescence III
(From Arborescence EP - Upton Park Records)

Arborescence III is the centerpiece of the EP. The track explores the interplay between acoustic timbres — piano, harmonium, and voice — and the electronic textures of Colin Vincent’s analog and modular synthesizers.

Following in the footsteps of the repetitive music of Steve Reich and Philip Glass, the piece unfolds slowly, layer by layer. Motifs overlap, voices fragment, and arpeggios emerge and fade away. Little by little, the boundaries between acoustic and electronic dissolve, until all the textures seem to be speaking the same language.

Arborescence is an immersive and contemplative EP inspired by the living world, blending electronic textures, soundscapes, and cinematic atmospheres. Originally composed for an immersive installation at the Bambouseraie d’Anduze in southern France, it invites listeners to explore the subtle meeting point between nature and electronic music.

Colin Vincent, aka CLN, is an electronic music producer known for blending the timeless textures of classical instruments with the limitless possibilities of modular synthesis. His music crafts immersive soundscapes where tradition meets innovation, weaving orchestral warmth into futuristic electronic frameworks. With this distinctive approach, CLN creates a sonic identity that is both refined and experimental, inviting listeners into a world where strings, pianos, and modular synths coexist in harmony.

Loveletter is a modal reflection of melted melodic shifts and inwards folded time signatures.
Shaped by an ever-fluctuating current of iterative waveform modulations, its polymetric
harmonics expand perceptual depth to the hidden spaces of resonance. As its core, the cyclical
permutations resolve into an ordered labyrinth of sound, reduced to its most fragile architecture.
With Loveletter, BORGBORG presents a work that privileges attentiveness over immediacy. It is
an album of quiet intensity — introspective, textural, relentless and methodically reduced.
Marking BORGBORG’s first solo album release, Loveletter spans across nine carefully composed
tracks. The album will be released on the label About Repetition, further situating the work within
a context that values subtle repetition, focus, and textural depth.
Features remixes by Irakli, LADA (Dasha Rush & Lars Hemmerling) and Fractal Void.

With a deep devotion to solid techno, weighty basslines, and deconstructed beats, BORGBORG
crafts a sound both relentless and introspective — stripped to the bone yet resonant with
emotional gravity. Her sets traverse the full spectrum of techno, from arpeggiated ambient
passages to rugged, high-impact rhythms built for concrete floors and low lights.
The Düsseldorf-based artist performed in a variety of venues in the NRW-area, Berlin, Amsterdam
and Tbilisi. Beyond performances and productions, BORGBORG also co-founded About
Repetition, a group of artists exploring repetition through creative collaboration across Europe.
