Tahmineh Monzavi was sentenced by the court in Qom to 74 lashes, a two-year ban on working and a two-year ban on leaving Iran.
She was simply doing her job: she photographed and filmed a concert by the unveiled Iranian singer Parasto Ahmadi . Tahmineh Monzavi shows Iranian society as it really is rather than as certain people would like to see it.
We are proud to showcase her work and deeply concerned for her future. It is our duty to speak out on behalf of Tahmineh and the seven other people who have been given the same sentences.

2 years ban on artistic work.
Tahmineh Monzavi a été condamnée par un tribunal de Qom à 74 coups de fouet, à une interdiction d’exercer une activité professionnelle pendant deux ans et à une interdiction de quitter l’Iran pendant deux ans.
Elle n’a fait que son travail : elle a photographié et filmé le concert d’une chanteuse iranienne sans voile, Parasto Ahmadi.
Tahmineh montre la société iranienne telle qu’elle est et non telle que certains voudraient la voir. Nous sommes fiers de présenter son travail et très inquiets pour son avenir. Il est de notre devoir de parler de Tahmineh et des sept autres personnes condamnées aux mêmes peines.
