Ai Weiwei has been selected for the '2026 Neil Balnaves Tallawoladah Lawn Commission' at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia in Sydney.

Opening this September, Ai Weiwei will unveil a major new public artwork on the Tallawoladah Lawn, overlooking Warrane/Sydney Harbour. His new work is set to be one of the most thought-provoking and impactful public art statements presented in Australia in 2026. The commission continues the artist’s longstanding exploration of social, political and humanitarian questions through ambitious large-scale works.

We are pleased to announce that Eva Jospin will be featured in 'Histoires de paysages. De Monet à Hockney (1890–2026)' opening this September at the Musée Marmottan Monet in Paris.

Presented jointly by the Musée Marmottan Monet and the Musée de Grenoble, the exhibition traces the evolution of landscape from 1890 to the present day, exploring how artists have used it to reflect on history, memory, conflict, identity and our changing relationship with the natural world.

Giovanni Ozzola will participate in the third edition of the Biennale dello Stretto, opening this September across Reggio Calabria and Messina.

Entitled 'Mutazioni', the 2026 edition reflects on the profound and often irreversible transformations shaping Mediterranean territories today, from climate and society to cities and landscapes. Ozzola will be part of 'L’imperfezione dell’assoluto', the art section curated by Angela Pellicanò, which explores matter and form beyond ideas of perfection, completion and predetermined outcomes.

Leila Alaoui will participate in “Piece of Love”, a group exhibition opening on 8 September at the Centre des arts in Geneva.

Inspired by Michelangelo Pistoletto’s concept of the 'Third Paradise', the exhibition marks the 10th anniversary of the “Art for Social Impact” project with Fondazione Pistoletto and brings together international artists and students from La Grande Boissière around ideas of life, humanity, peace and our shared responsibility towards the world around us.

Through works and performances spanning generations, disciplines and cultures, “Piece of Love” considers art as a force capable of transforming the way we relate to one another, to nature and to our environment.

Following its presentation in Venice, 'Still Joy — From Ukraine into the World' continues its journey with a new chapter at Gammel Strand in Copenhagen.

Developed in collaboration with PinchukArtCentre in Kyiv, the group exhibition brings together 10 artists and explores the realities of contemporary Ukraine while creating space for reflection, dialogue and resilience. The project follows 'Still Joy — From Ukraine into the World', presented earlier this year as an official Collateral Event of the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. Zhanna Kadyrova will present 'Refugees' (2023–24), a work created in response to displacement and the ongoing war in Ukraine.

On the occasion of the opening, Kadyrova will also take part in an artist talk with journalist Matilde Kimer, as part of a programme of conversations, debates and performances accompanying the exhibition.

“This is the work that most clearly, at a human scale, reconciles anatomy and architecture. It creates a body form made of cells or boxes, now cast in concrete, with one of the six sides of each box removed. The body is both an object and a place. For me, the open head, turned towards you as you enter the room, is particularly important. It suggests that beyond our skin and outward appearance lies a resonant and receptive space.”
— Antony Gormley on 'Open Ward'.
