Cernunnos sermon available

New artwork available. I was inspired by the actual fires in Europe. Cernunnos is the hod of the nature and actually forest. He shows us the sacrifices that will occur if w.e do not take care of our nature and especially the trees.

I feel anxious about the fires and the way we ignore our responsibility.

Marching freedom

Once in vacation I love to let the digital work aside to fo back on basics and sometimes I love to dig into local traditions and mixing it with illustrator styles that influence my art. For this one, you can find influences of 𝐌𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐇 𝐔𝐋𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐇 I invite you to discover. I love what he does with his dark but also funny world.

This one has been drawn on a sketch paper type, which is a nightmare to ink on a A5 format which made me simplify the shadings. I used a technic you can find mostly on my graphic artworks more than in my traditional artworks as I usually use stippling. The one of Micah for instance is far more detailed and could not do it as it is too tiny.

You migth find out which traditional symbolism I drew on this one. I know one of my follower will find for sure!😁

I am pretty happy to have disconnected from digital for these last days and I must say it opened my mind on inspiration and the bad influence of algorithm on me and inspiration.

For those who read to this line. First thanks a lot for your interest. Just a little secret to share: why is the skull I use to draw not always a dark symbol? The reason is that behind our skin, whether color it is, we are all bones and flesh. So, my artworks are to be universal!

Cernunnos burning wood sermon testprint …

I used to forget this step of the process and each time I do it, and I am wrong.

First, having a test print is a great moment having it on paper. Then there is a major difference in color and texture looking at them. You can see it comparing the first picture and the second which is a screenshot of my iPad.

I hope to show you how I will review the test print, but I can already tell you that I see more things on paper, including a need to lighten the clothes of Cernunnos, correct some coloring errors (handle of the knife, color difference between the red letters and shapes).

In the end, this test comforts me in my color choices but I need still some work to correct and it make it better
