What inspires the art I create?
I love exploring the power and depth of feminine symbols in nature.
A birds nest represents the idea of nurturing, protection and creating a home.
Nests are meticulously built to create a safe, warm environment for hatchlings. The enclosed, curved shape of a nest also visually echoes that of a womb. To me, nests are a symbol of comfort, sanctuary, and quiet strength.
These associations appear in art, literature, and spiritual traditions, where nests are often used metaphorically to explore the power and depth of the feminine.
A blooming flower represents the idea of beauty, changing seasons and life-giving energy.
Flowers often symbolize grace, softness, and allure—qualities stereotypically attributed to the feminine. Their colors, fragrance, and delicate structure have made them enduring metaphors for emotional expression.
Flowers bloom in cycles. They adhere to the seasons, like we, as humans, are built to. Something we tend to forget in our go go go culture. In essence, a flower bloom is not just a natural occurrence but a poetic embodiment of feminine energy—life-giving, beautiful, and deeply rooted in cycles of transformation.
