Really happy that the lovely greetings card company I work with in the UK - Green Pebble, decided to publish my “Sleeping Dragon Hill “ painting as a card. They took 5 of my Corren Island designs in total, another one got published too which I’ll post up next. This one has been renamed ‘Across the Water’. ☺️

Wow, what a wonderful whirlwind couple of days it’s been in Mâcon at the 9ème Biennale Internationale d’Art Naïf. It was absolutely fantastic.

Massive, massive thanks to Alain & Bernadette Limonet and their amazing Association (Club Cartophile Mâconnais) for organising this huge biannual event. The talent on show was incredible, and I felt truly honoured to be participating.

I met so many lovely people, and it was brilliant to meet all the other artists and make new connections. I was beaming all day long! ☺️☺️☺️ I’ve come away with so many happy memories. See pics below from the opening day and a selection of just some of the beautiful works on display.

The exhibition runs until 4th June, so plenty of time to visit.

Quel merveilleux tourbillon de quelques jours passés à Mâcon pour la 9ème Biennale Internationale d’Art Naïf ! C’était absolument fantastique.

Un immense merci à Alain et Bernadette Limonet ainsi qu’à leur formidable association, le Club Cartophile Mâconnais, pour l’organisation de ce grand événement biennal. Le talent présenté était incroyable, et je me suis sentie vraiment honorée d’y participer. Je vous laissez avec quelques photos prises lors du vernissage et une sélection des magnifiques œuvres exposées.

J’ai rencontré tellement de personnes adorables, et ce fut un vrai plaisir de faire connaissance avec les autres artistes et de créer de nouveaux liens. J’avais le sourire toute la journée ! ☺️☺️☺️ Je repars avec tellement de merveilleux souvenirs.

L’exposition se poursuit jusqu’au 4 juin, vous avez donc largement le temps de venir la découvrir.

All set up yesterday, I’ve got a great space and I’ve already met so many lovely people. Just about to go along for the official vernissage, can’t wait! . I’ll post pics later. ###

I am really delighted to be taking part in the 9th International Naïve Art Biennale, which will open in Mâcon from May 15 to June 4, 2026. Many talented artists are participating and will welcome you at the opening reception on Friday, May 15 at 6 p.m. in the Council Hall at City Hall.

Free entry from Tuesday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. / 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Numerous events will take place throughout the exhibition. The program and all details are on the poster. Organized by the CCM association, President Alain Limonet.

And at long last my fellow Corren travellers, we’ve reached our final destination, The Siren Inn, Brathen, for an evening of music and dancing. This is my 9th and final painting for the big Mâcon exhibition im doing in May.

I’ve called this one ‘Amongst Friends in Brathen’.
I’m hoping my red coat stands out!

I’ve absolutely loved imaging the island of Corren, thanks so much for joining me on my magical mystery tour, I know I’ll definitely be coming back again!

Hope everyone is keeping well amidst the global mayhem and destruction going on right now!

Et enfin, mes chers compagnons de voyage à Corren, nous avons atteint notre destination finale : The Siren Inn, à Brathen, pour une soirée de musique et de danse. Voici ma 9ᵉ et dernière peinture pour la grande exposition de Mâcon que je prépare pour le mois de mai.

J’ai intitulé celle-ci « Parmi des amis à Brathen ».
J’espère que mon manteau rouge se remarque bien !

J’ai absolument adoré imaginer l’île de Corren. Merci infiniment de m’avoir accompagné dans ce voyage magique et mystérieux — je sais que j’y reviendrai certainement !

J’espère que tout le monde se porte bien malgré le chaos et les destructions qui secouent le monde en ce moment.

Well my journey around Corren has nearly drawn to a close. Jess and I are headed to the old fishing village of Brathen, there’s a band playing at the Inn, and that’s where we’ll stop for the night before sailing home again.
“Lights over Brathen” is painted in gouache and will be going in a 40x40cm frame. So, one more painting to go and that will be all the paintings complete for my expo in Mâcon, starting 15th May. 😅😅😅

Finally enjoying some rare sunshine in the Creuse after what feels like months of rain, I’m off out there now to soak up the last rays before sunset.

And so my friends, our journey around the imaginary island of Corren, takes us from The Wild Moor and down in to Boro Forest, the sun is setting fast and I need to get to the tavern in Brathen for the night. Painting 7, in gouache “Boro Forest”. Destined for a 50x60cm frame.
