My pages here show the range of my work, landscape painting. My landscape journey started many years ago as a boy in Burnley Lancashire. Happy accident led me to appreciate the distant hills, and kindle a fascination which is still alight today. A youth club weekend in the lake district revealed the delights of waking up to a crisp clear mountain landscape, a truly awe filled, life changing event

for me. Art was my subject of choice in school, so painting was the vehicle to express my reaction to landscape... It has been a long journey and it will continue for as long as I do! Clarity of vision, a feeling of fresh air, distance and the mysteries of changing light, quietly waiting for the viewer to find the subtlety, and sometimes vivacious colours of the landscape.
