Guinness World Record holder Raisa Mariam Rajan’s art becomes the language of love and nature, and she outpours her soul on her canvas. The architect-artist combined consciousness that has a strong connection with nature defines Raisa’s artistic genius. She is an Indian who is born and brought up in UAE. The ancient architecture, cities, the spiritually significant paintings and sculptures in religious institutions, and the vast array of local art forms made Raisa ponder deep into her artistic self. She began nurturing her skills as she started traveling and exploring the world. Art for Raisa is “the world through her eyes” which is a statement through art.She paints on various surfaces like canvas, glass, wood, and tiles using a multitude of mediums like acrylic paints, ink art, charcoal, and many more. Raisa brings the essential harmony and peace that she finds in nature through the textures that she adds to her paintings which exude similar vibes. Her concepts and designs are connected to nature and human psychology. Raisa believes that incorporating nature in art can bring novel transformation in the way visual art is translated to establish a deep connection with human minds. Meanings people derive out of art thus making it aesthetically pleasing to their eyes and soul. She is also active in sharing her texture art knowledge with special needs students. She can also read the different thoughts of her students while they paint, which has helped many to understand themselves. She has exhibited her artworks in more than 40 exhibitions, 15 live arts around the world, workshops, and panel talks. Her artworks have been exhibited in Italy, Spain, Montenegro, Qatar, Seychelles, Azerbaijan, and many more. She is the Guinness World Record holder and content creator for the record of “most nationalities in an art lesson”. She specialized in Curating Contemporary Art & Design: Archives & Collections Intensive from the Royal College of Art, London. Her artwork named“Mother’s Aura” was selected to exhibit in UNESCO Heritage, La Pedrera, Barcelona, Spain. She received the award “The Women 2023” in the artist category.
