Prochaines initiations au Kumihimo: ce week-end au Japan Festival de St Jean de Luz. Il y aura 4 marudais à la disposition du public, en continu sur les 2 jours.

Cette année, le Saint-Jean-de-Luz Japan Festival 2026 proposera une immersion dans l’artisanat traditionnel japonais avec l’animation animée par Claire Cassan, maître du kumihimo et du temari.

Lors de cette animation, le public pourra découvrir ces techniques ancestrales de tressage et de broderie japonaise, observer le savoir-faire en action et s’initier à des créations inspirées de la tradition.

Une expérience authentique et créative, idéale pour les curieux comme pour les passionnés de culture japonaise.

Pour célébrer les 50 ans de jumelage entre Pau et Kofu, , la ville de Pau propose un programme varié : projections de films, expositions, animations ou encore rencontres avec des associations locales, pour faire découvrir le Japon aux Palois et partager des moments d’échange et de convivialité. Only a few days left before Braids 2025 in Cleveland! Looking forward to it. I will be taking an Ayatakedai class with Michael Hattori and teaching a Temari class.

And today my book on Nimai Kurai Gumi is headed for Brazil! I now have users of my software in Japan, France, Germany, USA, Israel, UK, Canada, Russia, Italy, Australia, Slovakia, Switzerland and Brazil.
