👥ITI Committees, Forums & Networks Online Seminars: Theatre in Conflict Zones
The proposal is part of ‘Alchimie’ project, promoted by ITI Italia, in partnership with ITI worldwide and other institutions, supported by Fondazione con il Sud. It foresees the implementation of a series of online seminars involving artists and cultural operators mainly from ITI Centres that have developed an experience in the field of theatre in conflict areas. It is an important initiative that can promote the work of valuable artists that are engaged in committed artistic actions in conflict zones or in post-conflict zones.
It is launched by the Italian Centre of ITI, in association with the ITI Theatre in Conflict Zones Network, and the ITI Centres of Colombia, Sudan, Switzerland, Germany, Burkina Faso, and more confirmed.

The Accademia Teatro Dimitri a theatre academy affiliated to the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI). The Accademia will appoint a new Head of BA/MA Programs with teaching obligations (80%) - from August 2021/22.

PROGRAMME DIRECTORSHIP
for the 2023 edition of the international theatre festival, Theater der Welt (Theatre of the World)
to be held in the cities of Frankfurt am Main, and Offenbach am Main in Germany from 29 June to 16 July 2023

Theater der Welt was founded in 1981 by the German Centre of the Interna­tional Theatre Institute (ITI). It takes place as a triennial festival, each time in a different city or region in Germany with a different artistic directorship running for a period of about two and a half weeks. It presents ground-breaking perfor­mances and developments in theatre from all over the world. The 2023 edi­tion will be – for the first time – organized as a joint project by an international production house for contemporary performing arts (Künstlerhaus Mousonturm Frankfurt am Main), an innovative Museum for Art and Design (Museum An­gewandte Kunst, Frankfurt am Main) and a municipal repertory theatre with a permanent actors' ensemble (Schauspiel Frankfurt, Städtische Bühnen Frank­furt am Main). The Offenbach Council Office for Cultural Management (Amt für Kulturmanagement der Stadt Offenbach) will join the three organizers as an associated partner.

IMPORTANT
La pandémie covid-19 a eu un impact dévastateur sur les industries culturelles et créatives. Partout dans le monde, les mesures de confinement ont considérablement affecté les moyens de subsistance des artistes et des professionnels de la culture, tout en réduisant la production culturelle et l’accès à un large éventail d’expressions culturelles.

Dans ce contexte, et dans le cadre de l’Année internationale de l’économie créative pour le développement durable, qui a été déclarée par l’Assemblée générale des Nations Unies, le Comité examinera les grandes questions liées à la Convention qui ont été mises en avant par la pandémie du COVID-19 :

- le statut des artistes et des professionnels de la culture ;
- la protection de la diversité des expressions culturelles dans l’environnement numérique ;
- Le traitement préférentiel des biens et services culturels.

Le Comité examinera également les nouvelles demandes de financement soumises au Fonds international pour la diversité culturelle dans le cadre de son 11e appel à candidatures et réfléchira au fonctionnement actuel et futur de ce mécanisme fondamental de mise en œuvre de la Convention.

La quatorzième session du Comité examinera également une analyse préliminaire des conclusions du mouvement ResiliArt, lancée par l’UNESCO le 15 avril 2020 pour tirer la sonnette d’alarme sur l’impact de la crise sanitaire mondiale sur le secteur culturel et créatif, et aujourd’hui adoptée par plus de 100 pays de toutes les régions du monde.

Le Président du Centre français ITI/UNESCO participera en ligne à cette quatorzième session du Comité intergouvernemental pour la protection et la promotion de la diversité des expressions culturelles qui se tiendra du 1er au 6 février 2021. Les conclusions de ces travaux seront retranscrites sur notre site www.iti-france.eu
