Fiji Performing Rights Association - FIPRA Non-Profit Organization

FIPRA is a non-profit organisation which was established in 1993 to administer the performing rights of its' local composer and songwriter members. Under a licence agreement with APRA (Australasian Performing Rights Association), FIPRA also represents the performing rights of over 2 million foreign composers whenever their musical works are performed or communicated to the public throughout the Fiji Islands.

Last week we were grateful to be visited by the Chief Financial Officer of APRA AMCOS, Tim Denny.

This week we are privileged to receive Anthony Healy, Head of NZ Operations - APRA AMCOS NZ and Greer Davis, Director OneMusic NZ.

FIPRA was honoured to welcome Mr. Tim Denny, Chief Financial Officer of APRA AMCOS, who today facilitated a financial management training session for FIPRA staff and members of the Board of Directors.

The session provided valuable insights into financial governance, reporting and industry best practices, reinforcing FIPRA’s commitment to strong financial stewardship, transparency and effective organisational governance.

The Fiji Performing Rights Association and the Fijian Broadcasting Corporation have formalised a partnership for the 2026 FIPRA Music Awards.

The agreement will see FBC provide exclusive television coverage in Fiji, live Pay-Per-View streaming worldwide via Viti+, radio coverage and digital promotion of the event.

The 2026 FIPRA Music Awards will be held on September 12 at the Suva Civic Centre.

Fiji Performing Rights Association (FIPRA) and FBC TV have signed a Memorandum of Understanding confirming FBC as the Official Media & Broadcast Partner for the upcoming FIPRA Music Awards. The awards ceremony will be held at the Suva Civic Centre on 12 September 2026, starting at 5:00 PM.

FBC’s partnership continues a long-standing commitment to supporting Fiji’s arts and creative industries. Over many years FBC has championed local musicians, composers and cultural programming—bringing Fijian talent to national audiences through dedicated broadcasts, event coverage, artist interviews and community initiatives. This sustained support has helped raise the profile of local music, created performance opportunities, and strengthened the cultural sector across the country.
