Gondwana is the name of the great southern supercontinent when all the countries of the pacific were connected. When Gallery Gondwana was founded in 1990 in Alice Springs, Australia the dream was to showcase not only Australian indigenous art but that of its Pacific neighbours.
It is the vision of award-winning I-taukei artist, Rusiate Lali to open a sister gallery in Fiji having been represented by Gallery Gondwana for the past 17 years. He is the co-owner with the founder, Roslyn Premont.
They have created a vibrant and interesting gallery with many other established and emerging Fijian artists along with sculpture, pottery, fabric and prints.
