Greenlit Productions Oy The aim of Greenlit Productions is to discover talented, creative and original filmmakers and let them be heard.

Supported by Creative Europe Media Slate Funding 2023. TV and film producer Essi Haukkamaa founded Greenlit Productions in 2011. She has previously managed a production company in Australia, producing several short films that have enjoyed considerable success at various film festivals. g Director and Producer in March 2017. Merja has produced several acclaimed documentaries and feature films. Directors Mervi Enqvist and Leena Kilpeläinen came aboard as minority shareholders. They have both worked with Haukkamaa and Ritola in several projects. Ritola and Haukkamaa will now bring their own productions under the same roof and make Greenlit Productions an even stronger operator in the Finnish film business. Besides Helsinki, the company will have an office in Sydney, Australia, with the aim of an increasingly international approach to productions. Haukkamaa is also preparing a PhD research studying international coproductions from the producer’s viewpoint at the University of Wollongong, Australia. The first production of the expanded Greenlit Productions, the feature-length documentary War/Peace, will enter cinemas this spring. The writer/director of the documentary Mervi Enqvist while Essi Haukkamaa acts as the producer. War/Peace has been made with support from The Finnish Film Foundation, AVEK and YLE, and will receive its Finnish premiere at the 2017 Espoo Ciné International Film Festival in May. Greenlit Productions has currently four feature films and two feature-length documentaries in development, as well as TV dramas, ranging from sci-fi to drama and comedy. We want to produce high-quality, attention-grabbing content for both Finnish and the international audiences. We are an innovative and uncompromising company that wants to do its part in regenerating cinema.

Greenlit Productions Secures Multiple Funding Decisions from the Finnish Film Foundation

Greenlit Productions has received several funding awards from the Finnish Film Foundation across development, production, and project support.

Development support has been granted for the documentary Elin Danielson-Gambogi – A Portrait of a Woman, written and directed by Leena Kilpeläinen.

Production support was awarded to the minority co-production documentary The Days I Will Forget, directed by Morgane Dziurla-Petit, with Swedish company GötaFilms serving as the main producer.

In addition, project support for international promotion and cultural export was granted to Lex Julia, written and directed by Laura Hyppönen.

In October, the Finnish Film Foundation granted development support to the feature-length fiction film Northern Lights, written by Yulia Pogrebnyak and Mara Tamkovich, directed by Mara Tamkovich.
