Green makeup
This wasn’t just beauty it was protection
Ancient Egyptians used green eye makeup made from crushed malachite
They believed it protected their eyes from infections dust and harsh sunlight
The green color was also linked to rebirth health and the god Horus
So it had both medical and spiritual meaning
Even men wore it not just women
It reduced glare in the desert and may have helped prevent eye diseases
So what looks like simple makeup today was actually a mix of science belief and survival
Beauty had a purpose
And every detail meant something
