Merry Christmas and happy holidays from Brakesoft!

This year has been a big one for us as we've grown in both team size and the number of exciting projects we've been working on. We're so grateful for the support of our partners, and we couldn't have come this far without you.

We hope you're able to take some time to relax and enjoy the holiday season with your loved ones. From all of us, we wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. We can't wait to share more of what we've been working on in the coming year, and we hope you'll continue to join us on this journey.

Here is a sneak peek of our team members working on our educational game project.

This is what our team members Tuukka Ahonen Liisa Luukka Kalle Viljakainen have been doing with microphones at the recording studio during the last few weeks.

Our humble thanks for such an awesome recording studio to Tampereen kaupunki - City of Tampere main library Metso. Voice lines are another way to make the game more accessible.

We have been developing this game in close collaboration with the help of Aitoo vocational special education school students, and frequent testing sessions on their premises to exchange feedback. As many of the students have special needs, our team has taken every step to make the game as accessible as possible by adding voice instructions, color cues, and visual cues based on the feedback we have gained.

We are closing in on the launch of the game for the public. As the project has been funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture in Finland, this means the game is in open use for any educational institution in Finland. We believe this game will make a difference in the lives of all students in Finland and are excited to see if we can develop this game further in the future!

For now, the only clue is the picture below. Can you guess what they were doing? It sure was a blast!

We will follow up on this puzzle and reveal the answer in the coming weeks. 👀

For us, it has been of utmost importance to develop a game of value and make a difference in the lives of students with special needs.

We can’t wait to see how the game will be perceived after the launch in December.

Roughly, one in seven humans worldwide has a disability that affects how they interact with the world and devices.
Humans can experience disabilities at any age, for any duration, and at varying levels of severity.
Therefore, we aim to develop a game that is accessible to everyone by supporting personalisation by design.
