Artistic residencies are key to the way we create our work. Being an international company means our first task is to get together in a single location. This has never been easy, what with the pandemic, then with full-scale war and many of our artists' displacement across Europe. But by immersing ourselves in new surroundings, working with what is present, voicing our questions to the space and each other - in this way we arrive in the work. So it is with great happiness that Hooligan will be taking up residency at La Maison Jacques Copeau in Burgundy, France this May to begin work on a new project.
