And so ends the year of bicentennial celebration of Clara Schumann's Birth. It was amazing to see how all over the world her life and work were put into spotlight. I hope it continues for years to come. And I was honored to be part of this celebration at the Mäntän Musiikkijuhlat - Mänttä Music Festival in Finland. It was especially uplifting to hear young people playing her works, and to hear lectures about her life by the wonderful Ari Helander.

Today is a very important day: 200th anniversary of Clara Schumann's birth, one of the most amazing women that walked on this Earth, Queen of the Piano. In spite of all the tragedy in her life she managed to have a 61-year long concert career, and that's not for fainthearted.
I am so happy to see her life celebrated in different parts of the world and to finally hear her music played more and more. She was a Great Artist and a Great Woman. Her life touched mine in such a profound way and took me on a journey I never dreamed of. I will be forever grateful.
