Ruoka valmistetaan omassa keittiössämme suomalaisista raaka-aineista ja paikallisista tuotteista pohjoisen ruokaperinteitä ja makuja kunnioittaen.

Kolmen ruokalajin Päivän menu sisältää alkuruoan, pääruoan ja jälkiruoan sekä kahvin tai teen. Hinta on 48 € / henkilö.

Come and enjoy a relaxed dinner surrounded by the Kuusamo wilderness. Our food is prepared in our own kitchen using Finnish ingredients, local produce and flavours inspired by the food traditions of the north.

The three-course Menu of the Day includes a starter, main course and dessert, followed by coffee or tea. The price is 48 € / person.

It’s a wonderful time to slow down, spend time outdoors and enjoy the changing season in the Kuusamo wilderness, far from the crowds and everyday rush.

🌌✨ At the end of August comes the possibility of seeing the Northern Lights and autumn foliage. Stay by Lake Heikinjärvi in one of our Aurora Huts at Isokenkäisten Klubi and enjoy the changing season surrounded by the peaceful nature of Ruka-Kuusamo.

🏕️ Our Aurora Huts are set right on Lake Heikinjärvi, with large panoramic windows overlooking the lake and surrounding wilderness. During the day, you can enjoy the surrounding nature and the last weeks of northern summer, while the darker evenings are a time to slow down and watch the changing landscape from your hut.

🍂 As August turns to September, the first signs of autumn begin to appear in the forests around Lake Heikinjärvi. It’s a quiet time of year to experience Kuusamo, somewhere between the light of summer and the colours and darker nights of autumn.

It's always encouraging when the work we do is recognised. We strive to offer our guests genuine experiences in the Finnish wilderness, whether they come to stay, enjoy local food, relax in our Seven Star Smoke Sauna or simply spend time surrounded by nature.

🫐🌿 Foraging season is in Kuusamo.

Cloudberries can still be found in many areas, and soon the forests will be filled with ripe bilberries 🫐. As the season continues, lingonberries 🍒 and edible wild mushrooms also become ready to pick, making late summer and autumn a popular time for foraging.

🥾🌲 Guests staying at Isokenkäisten Klubi can easily explore the surrounding forests and experience this traditional Finnish activity. Foraging is a relaxing way to spend time in nature while discovering the wild berries and mushrooms that grow in the Kuusamo wilderness. 🥾🌲
