First Ethno gathering was organised in Sweden in 1989. Since then Ethno has grown to include annually over 40 countries worldwide. Ethno Finland is organized by the Finnish Folk Music Association and it will be organized for the 9th time in 2024. The camp takes place in Kaustinen and the main concerts of the camp will happen at the legendary Kaustinen Folk Music Festival! Don't miss this opportunity!

"Tere! I’m Katariina from Estonia, I play the flute and enjoy sitting in the sun for extended periods of time. I’m also a real archive recording nerd and love dancing - the world of traditional music is so wide that it can be discovered from different angles for an eternity! Ethno has been a part of my life already for 15 years and I feel it has made my world a lot bigger and cosier. Let’s learn and hear some new stuff together in Ethno Finland this year!"

"Hi, Alan Mackie from Canada here! I've been playing fiddle and double bass at Ethnos since 2014 and I'll be mentoring in Ethno Finland 2026. This community has time after time rejuvenated my relationship with music, and I've met some of my nearest and dearest life long friends at these camps, I can't wait to do it all again in Kaustinen this summer!"
