"Usva" 2025
Egg tempera on canvas
In private collection

This piece was commissioned and it took me three years to make it. The inspiration picture that the client showed me was taken in Italy of an old fragmented fresco, so I had the idea of making it in egg tempera which I've never done before and it was scary to even start 😅 I even enrolled in an art course that tought it.

When I finally got started, I practised with just getting to know the medium better, splashing it around the canvas and I loved the way it layered and changed. I've never painted abstact before, but this seemed to be the perfect medium to do it in. Mixing in charcoal, ink and copper pigment, which is what you see giving a lovely shimmer to the painting.

I added multiple places for hanging at the back, so the client can hang the painting in different orientation if wanted. It has multiple layers of meaning that differ with the orientation. Maybe you see a waterfall, a rain cloud, a lake, a forest, a swamp etc.

I will definitely continue my experimentation with egg tempera, as soon as my mother gets her summer chickens again 🐔🐓

What an amazing project this was! Thank you so much for trusting me with this wall and giving me free reigns 🥰

The forest inspiration for this came from the bird song playing in this corridor, the nature theme in the Cafe next door and the string lights in the Nikolai courtyard. Also of course from the amazing Halleluja mountains in Avatar (thank you James Cameron!)

Thank you also my little helpers
💖

If you want, or know someone who might be interested in a mural, please contact me and I will be happy to help! These things are amazing to liven up a space, bring a space together and drive up people's interests! I got so much positive feedback from passers-by it's amazing I got anything done 🥰

These beautiful photos of the wall and me were taken by the one and only 🔥

"Mangustit 2" 2026

Fine liners and ink on paper

Another one of the mangust family, cuz I couldn't decide which one I wanted to draw. So I drew both! In the background maybe blades of grass, tendrils or flames of passion, you decide 😄

It's a commission in a sense that the person who suggested it gets first dips. If they don't want it, it's for sale.

"Faith Feathers ...and a dragon" 2026

Gouache and acrylics on a poster
40x50cm

A commission to a wonderful burlesque artist .burlesque 🔥 She will have it as a birthday gift from her family 💖

I chose the photo (Original photo by Suvi-Pilvi Manni), I aged it in editing, I had it printed and then I painted a dragon in it! It took ages and while I am aware many people might want one of them selves, I'm not sure I'm ready to make more 😅

This one will be at the UNO exhibition in for April

"Viva Valencia" 2025

30x40cm fine liner, ink, watercolour and gouache on 300g acid free Fabriano watercolour paper

This is another one I made while in residence in Spain, near Valencia. The inspiration was a giant armadillo made out of styrofoam in the Fallas Festival. The entire festival was amazing and I was so lucky to have arrived just in time to catch the last few days, also the burning of statues at the end! The one with the armadillo had all kinds of other animals as well and was of course my favourite. There were so many statues though! And so big!

The oranges I had add in celebration of the best oranges I've ever eaten, fresh from the tree at the orange farm the residence was held 🥰

"Supi" 2026
Markers and watercolor on 300g cotton paper

Supi is a raccoon dog. And this one was once again "commissioned" by saying 'if you draw it, I'll buy it'. We'll see, I haven't been able to show it yet. But it turned out pretty cute, don't you think?

It was really hard to find good reference images, these cuties aren't so well liked around here usually.

This piece was in Perlana group exhibition for February at La Fiaba Gallery when it was just black&white, but as soon I took it down I added some brown watercolor to it, so it doesn't resemble a raccoon so much.

"Tortoise" 2025
Ink and marker on 300g paper

Is it a tortoise or a turtle? I can never remember which is which. So if this is wrong, too bad.

This is the one I started while I was in Spain for a month on a residency/sun bathing holiday. I was thinking about doing different styles for the shell but when I got back home I just opted for the simple black look.

"The Duck" 2026
Ink and watercolor on heavy paper

So while almost finished with this guy, I accidentally dropper my ink brush on it.. You can't remove ink so my only options were to ditch the drawing or to exaggerate and make it a feature. I've heard ducks can be real troublemakers so I think they might approve of this approach 😁✨️

In exhibition until end of February at the La Fiaba Gallery

Dudes.. The year I had 🤯 It seems like the interrail was 5 years ago, not just this spring. And even before that I had painted my first ever mural (which became quite famous in JKL area and only recently got painted over.) I had three exhibitions this year, my art was sold at the JKL Art Museum summer Pop-up and I attented many sale events in the area.

Of course I also got naked a lot this year as an art model and did my last gigs in the burlesque show group . I also got my golden skin and horns on to win the acclaimed Halloween dress competition 🔥✨️

Oh, and painted another mural in the Time To Stay hostel in JKL. And hosted Drink&Draw evenings. And picked buckets of blueberries. And made a lot a gingerbreadhouses and cookies for christmas sales.

AND the fall I spent entirely and very satisfactorly (it is a word now) studying event and lighting technology. LOVED it 🔥😍🔥

I've scheduled nothing but just drawing for the spring of 2026. Let's see how long that lasts 😄
