Live Art Society's production open call for 2027 and Autumn residency 2026 is now open!
You can now propose your project for the 2027 production of Live Art Society or the 2026 Autumn Residency. Please note! A project can only be submitted for residency or production, not both.
🔹The Autumn Residency will be a spatial residency at ESKUS in November 2026, offering a 2-week working period for two projects, support from curators and the opportunity to share processes in a peer-to-peer environment. The residencies will include an Artist Talk presentation session prior to the residency, and some form of sharing event with society members and/or other audiences/participants at the end of the residency. The residencies are part of the Festival of Unfinished Art programme co-produced by Live Art Society. The residency does not include a working grant or other financial support. The call for residencies is open to working artists. At least one member of the applying group should be a member of the Live Art Society. One of the members may apply to become a member within the residency application.
🔹The production proposal for 2027 can be a premiere, an event, a curatorial initiative or any other concept, e.g. one that rethinks the way art is made. The call is open to professional artists and requires at least one member of the Live Art Society.
What can Live Art Society offer to the selected productions?
The budget has been tentatively allocated to provide financial support for two productions: €3,000 + €3,000. The total amount corresponds to the budget for previous years' productions. The aim is to keep the amounts the same or even increase them, but this depends on the amount of general subsidies received by Live Art Society.
The distribution of funding per production and production work according to need can be specified during the selection phase. The financial support and producer’s working hours resources are conditional on the Society's operating grants remaining the same as in the previous year.
In addition Live Art Society supports productions as follows:
🔹the (part-time) producer's working time as necessary and appropriate (e.g. employer and salary payments, financial management, information and marketing)
🔹support of the Society to the working group in applying for other funding
🔹possibility of renting Eskus premises at a member rate
🔹access to Live Art Society's production tools (Sum Up machine, Meltwater information service, printing a limited number of handouts or posters, ticketing)
Live Art Society's productions will emphasise the ethical principles of sustainable and fair working (e.g. TESs performance fees and realistic production costs, alternative economies).
The application for residency and production should be submitted on the same Forms form.

If you’d prefer an alternative way of submitting your application, we also welcome video and voice messages (max 3 mins) in which you describe your project idea, artistic vision, and what kind of sharing your project proposes.
Email your video/voice message to [email protected].
Please title the e-mail OPEN CALL 2026-27.
The deadline for applications is FRIDAY 20.3. at 16:00.
In making our choices, we pay particular attention to:
🔹Contemporary live art: what forms, practices, performance conventions, audience relations does the performance idea suggest?
🔹Support for artists at different stages of their career paths and for different paths and forms
🔹Clarity and concreteness of the work plan: how it relates to the Society's production capacity, and what the projects form in the Society's repertoire
🔹Connection and engagement with the Society's activities and membership/living environment: does the work generate a reciprocal dialogue, e.g. discussion and/or sharing events, open exercises, demos, etc.?
🔹Self-management of projects
