Thanksgiving is still far away but I am already grateful for the amazing team that has put together We Believe and Accept that These Beings Exist at EMMA. Ximena Abrevaya, Hernán Camarero, Jaakko Närvä and Carlos Suárez were kind enough to share their points of view and experiences. Iddo Soskolne took care of the lighting design and camera in Helsinki and Juan Biderman in Buenos Aires. Tuomo Hutri graded the footage and Karri Niinivaara created the sound design. The graphic design is by Piëtke Visser. AVEK provided the funding that made it possible. EMMA’s team made it happen. I am very happy about the show. It is on until early August. .ximena_abrevaya

Just back from an intense and exciting two weeks in Buenos Aires, recording interviews for my upcoming show at EMMA — with the brilliant collaboration of Juan Biderman manning the camera. Thanks to Ximena Abrevaya, Carlos Suárez and Hernán Camarero for diving into conversations that spanned science, politics, and the possibility of life beyond Earth. More soon in a museum near you.

A work-in-progress with Iain Sutton to image the .neutron moderator.
We’ll use gold to capture its radioactive signature, then transform that trace into an image using photosensitive materials—before gold-198 decays into mercury.
A reverse alchemy, of sorts.
